For some, it's not just fantasy fulfillment....or maybe that's my serious side coming out feeling that you're discounting that this is a part of me and not just some "dream" or "idea" in my head.

But, I'm the one who will drum with canes on my subject in the playspace to the rhythm of music, who will do silly and gross things like stick my finger up my boy's nose when he least expects it (one of the most unnerving things, supposedly), I'll  clown around and laugh with my bottom when they can't say "Yes Mistress" and it comes out in jibberish....leading me to talk in jibberish for 10 minutes and leave the sub wondering what in the world I've said.  My playmates and I have laughed ourselves to the point of tears and painful sides.

I think I've got a healthy balance of serious vs. having fun.

Hi All,

First attempt at starting off a discussion so please go gentle with me ;o)

i will be the first to admit i am not the most experienced here but i sometimes read and hear things in the BDSM scene that some people get far too serious and sometimes forget the main reason for taking up BDSM is to fulfil fantasy but shouldnt it also be a huge amount of fun too??

What you are experienced with (in relation to others), what you read, and what you hear are far removed from what you experience yourself. Yes they may very well be (and probably) are related, however, they might not.

What you think is too serious for yourself is not too serious for someone else and that is not for you to judge. Except in your own world.

What is and is not fantasy is also not under your jurisdiction. Except in your own world.
