It doesn't really matter, you know.  Even if he is dead, you can be sure that "the war on terror" isn't going to end.  It would be a setback, if anything, because it will just allow the President to pretend that his self-defeating and unconstitutional practices are working.  How many people do you think are going to ask why the "war on terror" is continuing if Bin Laden is dead?

I'd prefer he get his head blown off by an American bullet; that's not bravado, and it's not easily said, but I hate the man.

How come we can go to the moon, but we can't find one man?

Level -> RE: Is Bin Laden Dead? (9/23/2006 11:23:40 AM)

As with a lot of things in the world, the answer to that is one most of us can't truly know, cuddles. He's hiding (or was) in perhaps the one place on earth were he is most welcome, and where we can't really go (without them knowing we're there).

How can someone worship a leader when they hide like a chicken?

sissifytoserve -> RE: Is Bin Laden Dead? (9/23/2006 11:28:22 AM)

I would say yes.

Most of the higher level Pakastani ISI intelligence seems to think so.

Two words.

Kidney Dialysis.

Hard to treat that condition when allegedly you are jumping from cave to cave up in the Afgan hills.

They're guerrila fighters. Hit and run, move in shadows is normal and how they fight. I would not necessarily call them cowards, but they are murderers.

cuddleheart50 -> RE: Is Bin Laden Dead? (9/23/2006 11:33:42 AM)

I was talking about Bin Laden.  He is the chicken.

Yes, he was also (supposedly) a fighter during the days of Soviet occupation in Afghanistan. At the very least, he funded much of the mujahadeen fighters, and they remember him for that. He's older and sickly now, so he isn't expected to do any actual fighting, and of course, he may be dead now, so....[8|]

He's the boogie man the US Government needs to keep the people in fear and compliance to their imperialist agenda..

Just like the boogieman Emmanuel Golstein is "the enemy of Oceania" in Orwells 1984.

Here's a bush saying.."I really don't care where he is"....

If OSB set up his domain like he probably did, then his death will only allow another to step in and run things.  Taking out one man doesn't necessarily stop anything regardless of how he went out.  The good thing is that he won't get his virgins for dying in the Jehad that he decalred.

It's a sign that we don't understand our enemy too well.

LTRsubNW -> RE: Is Bin Laden Dead? (9/23/2006 2:08:30 PM)

Amazing, no one has even considered the possibility that the Saudis (who made this news proclamation), who have been funding Bin Laden for approx. 14 years now, is putting this trial balloon out possibly to get the heat off of "their man"?

Or that the US has asked the Saudis to do so to take the heat off of Bush?

There's a remarkable book:  "The Princes of Darkness" (Note:  Not "Princess").  I won't go in to the details, it was written by a "Fellow" of the Rand Institute, and it very clearly and with minimal bias, explains without deviation, the Saudis who proclaim their friendship...are not in any remote sense, our friends.

Anything that comes from the UAE (United Arab Emirates), I can pretty much assure you is suspect.

Here's how you can tell:

If their lips are moving...chances are they're lying.

The Saudis are most definitely not our friends, but I don't think the House of Saud and Bin Laden wish anything but the worst for one another.

I figured they would start some sort of "rumor" around the November elections.. either they will  produce him like a rabbit out of the hat..or say.."you need us,.. ya gotta keep us since we've been doing the job for 8 years now.."

I hope he is dead.. not that it is going to do anything but spur them on as him being with Muhammad now..   we are not fighting sane people... and I don't think we are sane anymore.

This weekend.. we now have lost as many troops as there were victims of the 9/11.  Nobody wins a war.

Well, I guess it is finally time to reveal the truth.

I went over to Afghanistan. I was rummaging around in the hills looking for turbans when I found Osama bin Laden's body.  Unfortunately I was very hungry, so I had Osama bin Liver and onions.  It was a little tough to chew, but when you have been looking for turbans all weekend you will get hungry too.

I have not told the CIA yet because those Iraqi rebels need some more beats.
