Hrm......how does this relate to BDSM?

Um...well....If I hadn't figured it out, I'd have been punishing myself for being unable to post to this wonderful site!

Ok...onto a real topic.  Being a r/t n00b, and with conflicting work schedules (and being total foodies), our general playtime is somewhat limited.  Our resources are limited since we're working on the house we just bought.  We have all of...3 toys.  Spanking is my main thing, and thus far we really only use his hand for this.  Another thing that we've added to the "sensory" category has been full-body scratching.  It is something that I react highly to.  When on my stomach and he starts playing with my back and tush (which are hyper-sensitive) I tend to arch my back much like a cat does (which happens to be the animal that I relate most to and get my neko/kitgirl persona from).  This scratching sends me into shivers, shakes and much moaning, and almost uncontrollable wiggling, and just generally makes me melt/ooze.

I was wondering since I've seen and heard some about different kinds of sensory methods like electro, feathers, knives etc...how many other people react to the almost carnal and more natural (mostly ease of use, ie no having to fetch toys and whatnot) use of scratching....be it soft, hard...

What types of scratching do you enjoy?  The hard short strokes like the "fuck scratch"on the back of your current lover...Or the soft, caressing scratching on the back of the neck to the lower part of the scalp....Or do people do the full body scratch like I do?

It seems that for me, no matter what kind of mood I'm in, he gives me a soothing massage, snuggles up close and when he starts that scratching and gets me squirming, there's no turning back.  It's hard sometimes....we would love to see just how far and long we could take it, to see just how..."warm" I could get from it as he likes to see just how messy I can get (grins).  But it seems we work ourselves up too much and end up just having to jump into some primal, wild monkey sex.

I'm thinking of if/when we get out bed restraints, asking him if he would tie me down hand and foot spread-eagled and just give me scratch-torture. (Yeah....I'm not going to sleep much tonight thinking about all this.....and I gotta work early*groans good-naturedly*)

LOL good for you and the wireless.  Some scratching i like some i don't.  Favorite would be long light scratching.  I will forever hate the day after marks.  As for toys i understand being strapped (no pun intended) for money but the dollar stores and garage sales have many wonderfully cheap items for sale too.  Although i do agree a nice hand spanking can't be well beat lol.

I love giving a long spanking and then rubbing and scratching every red mark I have given.  Sometimes the reactions I see from the little scratches afterwards are even more fun than giving the spanking or whipping. Of course, I'm a little envious of some of the needle-nailed women out there, since I have bitten my nails since I was a little girl.  It still works out pretty well though.  Maybe for special occasions I will begin investing in some of the temporary press on nails.  I'm sure I could file them down into some wickedly pointy cat claws and give a scratching he won't soon forget.

Yes Aine, there's all kinds of things you can buy at very reasonable prices!
Ever been tied spread-eagle and had a Wartenberg wheel used on you?
They can be had for $6-$15.
Rope is cheap.
Ball gags, penis gags can be had for $20-$60, plugs, vibrators, dildos go for $10-$40.
And like Diamonddreamlove said you can get reasonably priced stuff that can be incorporated into B&D at flea markets, yardsales , garage sales etc.
I don't know what wireless is, you mean a wireless computer like a laptop?

If you check in a fabric store, they have a wheel similar to this, for marking patterns/material.  They usually cost less than $2.00.

ruined nylons (or panty hose) make great ties -- we put a fabric scrap or wash cloth between the wrist/ankle and the nylon so the didn't leave marks that would be hard to explain the next day.

Ball gags can be made from panties rolled up, tape across the mouth as long as you're not allergic to it, spankers can be made from paint stiring sticks the paint stores give away..<g>  and Dollar stores have lots of things that can magically transform into something kinky.

That being said, however, i always believed that Master was the best "toy" we had.  The way he used his mind, raise an eyebrow, show me a smile, or utter a quite word or two.....i would melt, submit and surrender.

I like scratching any type at any time.
I like the wartenburg wheel I have and the pattern thing I got from fabric section.I also find blindfolds in the scrap fabric bin.I like using white sheets for gags tie a knot in the middle and stuff it in.
Wooden spoons are usually pretty cheap to buy and make awesome paddles,they have so many different shapes and sizes I still find some I dont have.
Another thing you can get for spanking and they are free is paint(pain) sticks you can get the ones for the 5 gallon buckets of paint,I got some scrap leather and covered one stick with it.I still keep saying I'm going to get one and cover that with something fluffy or velvety....where does the time go?

*squirms uncomfortably* Scratching... Just the thought makes me all tingly. Scratching, hair-pulling, all that rough-love. And, my ex-fiancee and I had the same problem with finishing out the scene. *grin* For spanking though, I would suggest a dog brush. One of the woodeny ones with a nice, broad head. It is SO much more satisfying than a wooden spoon. And if you're on a tight budget, pet shops and hardware stores are godly.

My wireless internet.  My boyfriend had been having trouble with getting just his computer to work with it when he had bought it out in Washington state.  I managed to finagle it myself last night before bed.

Loofah scrubbers for the shower are wonderful and not so harsh as sandpaper or things similar.  I find when loofah is run under water and let to soak a few times it gets soft enough not to hurt in the bad way. I find it amazingly relaxing when he bathes me with it.

I have a paddle brush that most of my nilla friends call a horse brush.  Large, wide head in a nice dark wood.  We've not used it too much yet, we're still getting the aiming down.  I think it'll take a bit before he gets really comfortable without worrying that he's going to hurt me in a bad way with it.

I definitely want to start looking at the craft stores soon to start making some of my own fabric-oriented toys....satin/silk/fuzzy scarves, tie-downs, perhaps even try my hand at making my own restraints for the bed.

i adore scratching!   i can go into sub-space with HusDom with hairbrush play.  

He doesn't do any form of impact, and doesn't think of this as "BDSM play"  so it's the only legal stim i get that really feeds my S&M side.  i like full body scratching with this hairbrush and after 20 mins of light to middle scratching, i really want harder, like i could be scratched raw and bleeding and still be doing just what you do Aine, cat-backing up into it.

i do wish He'd turn it around and deliver a couple of swats with it too, but that's prolly never going to happen.  i have given that hairbrush to a gal friend Top to use for a warm up and it really enhances the scene for me.  Hairbrush foreplay is perfect for nilla or neutral sex as well as impact play. yum.    i am curious aobut abrasion play as well, if i find a local Top into it, i would ask for permission to explore that a bit.

Since I've never heard it called "abrasion play" until I started this thread...methinks I'm going to google it.  I think that I was thinking too hard trying to come up with ideas and coming up with nothing but a blank. You all have some really good ideas.  Thanks!

Aine, might search here for posts by KyraofMists or Knightofmists..   T/they have posted some great thigns on abrasion play.  Was the first i'd heard of it termed that.
