i wrote before i was told i have the gift and  i was to only see what is good on someone i still find i can tell when someone is evil even throught this computer i have turn donw many for i see something is not right with them the way they wirte it just show so much. my twin had one time she was cdriving and she had someone in the back set someone cut across her and she was going to have a horror acindent she said her hands left the wheel and her friend saw this too to hand clouded came and turn the car righti thank god she was in shock when she came home, once we would go a certain way for years this one day we both said at the same time no let go a different way well we did at that same moment the way would had gone a car roll down off the hill that car would had crushed the top and i know we would be gone if we had not changed a way different i do know that ghost help and if one is bothering you all you need to do is say you scaring me please leave it work but it took me years to learn this my mother would place a glass of water at our door to help us and it worked. sometimes i not long ago fket someone climb into with me it woke me up. i seen things that has not happen i saw my son gilrfirend fall but it was on my stairs i was scare sh would fall but instead when they went out she fall at a night club insttead

If I didn’t believe in ghosts before today, I do now. I’ve had a few paranormal experiences in my childhood but because they occurred so long ago (and because I was so young), I’ve never really trusted my recollections. However, as I write this I am just four hours past my first ever paranormal encounter as an adult and I am officially freaked out.

I exercise by walking and for the past year I have been taking my walks in a local cemetery. It is quite large, with many trees and stone benches to rest upon and is a very beautiful, very peaceful place. If it wasn’t for all the graves, it would be park. You would think that one would expect to see ghosts in a cemetery but I never really gave it any thought – until now. Here is what happened:

I was walking as I normally do, I-pod on and playing my favorite ‘80's tunes. I got the sense that someone was behind me. This, in an of itself was not abnormal. I can usually sense when I car is approaching behind me. I stepped to the side of the pathway, expecting a car to slowly pass me by but none did. It still felt like something, or someone was behind me only now it was much more intense. The kind of feeling you get when your personal space is invaded. I stopped, took the I-pod off and turned around expecting to confront someone who was following to close behind me. Nobody was there. I didn’t see anyone. The problem was what I did see. I saw the absence of someone. I know that doesn’t make any sense but that is the only way I can describe it. I saw that no one was there when someone had to be there. Their presence was overwhelming and the empty space in front of me was just wrong for being empty. Not knowing how I knew, I knew that the absent person who was there (Yes, I know that makes absolutely no sense but I simply can’t describe it any other way!) was a young man, perhaps twenty, yet wise beyond his years.

Unsettled, I decided to cut my walk short and headed back toward my vehicle, increasing my pace. This ghost, as I was now thinking of it, followed behind me. I could hear, not with my ears but with my mind, the gravel crunching beneath his feet. I’m not ashamed to admit that I was becoming scared at this point and actually said out loud, "go away! Leave me alone!"

There are some train tracks that run along the edge of the cemetery and as I approached my vehicle, a train came by and I watched as this absence suddenly bolted for the train and jumped on it. It laughed as it rode away with the train. Although I saw nothing I could clearly track it’s movements (by it's absense) and as the train went out of sight. I knew that the ghost was now gone. I could no longer feel it’s absence of presence.

Usually I rest a few minutes in my vehicle before leaving the cemetery. Not today. I didn’t haul ass out of there but I did make haste. Anyway, that’s what happened and I am still freaked out about it. I think I just had to write this to get it out of my system. I don’t know how well I am going to sleep tonight but for the record, I do plan on returning to the cemetery for my walk tomorrow.

Shakespeare was right, there are more things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in our philosophies.

Any comments, insights, etc., will be appreciated.

Status: offline 		Ghosts? Naw. A lot of different things add up to my disbelief that humans gain all these kooky abilities after death. Do I believe that SOMETHING is out there? Yes. I believe in a spiritual world just as real as this one. I just don't think that people transform into something so one-dimensional as a ghost.

I am now much less freaked out than I was. I’ve had a chance to reflect on the incident and talk to a few friends and family (some who are more knowledgeable about the subject than I am) about it and have come to some conclusions.

First, I would like to say that I do not consider myself an "official" skeptic by which I mean that I only believe in the physical universe and that everything has a rational explanation. However, I do cast a skeptical eye on everything. I believe that this is the only way to sift through the dross to arrive at the truth. We should not try to prove what we believe but to disprove it, to see if what we believe stands up. I believe that most cases of ghost sightings, UFOs, Big Foot, etc., can be attributed to misinterpretation of what is being seen (often fueled by a credulous belief in such things) or outright hoax. But, I also believe that we live in a universe that is both ancient and vast, who knows what the hell is out there? So while I have never been dismissive of the idea of ghosts, I’ve never really believed most ghost stories and I certainly never expected to have one of my own.

Anyway, here is what I have decided. It happened. Something was there that I can’t explain. I had an encounter with a spirit of some kind. That is the only thing that I am one hundred percent certain of. The rest is speculation based upon the feelings and impressions (and they were very strong impressions) I had at the time of the incident and the talks I had with others, but I believe it is sound speculation.

I believe it was the spirit of a young man but one who has had several previous lives (I have reasons for believing in reincarnation, but that is another topic for another day), hence the impression that he was wise beyond his years. I believe he is a troubled spirit who travels around (perhaps he follows the railroad tracks) and was not native (so to speak) to the cemetery. Why he was there I am not certain, maybe he just stopped by to say hi to the local spirits. I do not believe he had any malicious intent and intended me harm in any way but rather was having a little fun at my expense. It is said that some spirits are jealous of the living and their responses can be anything from playful mischief to outright psychic assault. I believe he was the former.

Ultimately, as to who he was and why he did what he did I will probably never truly know, but I do hope he finds his peace one day. I doubt I will encounter him again, still tomorrow’s walk in the cemetery should be interesting.

the realm of science except color, consciousness, love, compassion,
understanding, tolerance, kindness, pain, pleasure, fear, anxiety, laughter,
tears, hate, and anger.    And the only reason I believe these things is
I have experienced them myself, and seemingly so has most everyone
else.  It is hard for me to believe that people are so gulliable and
superstitious eager and willing to believe anything but the truth.
Humans have such a penchant for romanticizing reality, believing in
myths and fairytales, it is obvious they can't take the truth.
 
It is funny how people can see how silly other people's non-scientific
beliefs are, but can't see how silly their own non-scientific beliefs are.
Given the choice the between a determinitic universe that operates
according to logic, where everything that happens has a cause, people
will choose the irrational universe everyday.  Many famous physicists
succumb to the notion that universe is irrational.    Some point to  the
Coppenhagen Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics or Experiments
concerning John Bell's Inequalities.   I believe the universe is entirely
rational, determinstic, causal, natural, and logical.  Just because I
can't explain everything does not mean it is not, because the
universe is multidimensional and ultra-complex, and the human
brain is ultra puny, with minimal ability to reason, and human
knowledge is far from complete.  Just because human knowledge
is incomplete does not mean there is a super-natural cause for
things.  That would be like ancient man saying since we don't
understand earth weather, weather might be supernatural. 
 
There are no ghosts, no angels, no gods.  I don't believe in UFOs,
alien abductions, telekensis, astroprojection, crystal power, pyramid
power, flying Yogis, any psychic power, ghosts, Zuess, Wicca, Santa
Claus, the Tooth Fairy, trolls, witches, magic, bad luck, good luck,
lucky charms,  signs from heaven, warlocks, Lerperchans, Big Foot,
Loch Ness, abomidable snowmen, Hercules, virgin birth, reincarnation,
karma, unlucky black cats, Voodoo, Santaria, Allah, cosmic
consciousness, cosmic capes, Holy Ghosts.  I don't believe
in plant, amobea, or rock consciousness.  I seriously question
the consciousness of many human beings. 
 
I do believe in "holy shit," the ability of the human mind to concoct
all kinds of delusions,  the infinite capacity of humans to engage
in self-delusion.  I believe in big feet.  I believe in bitches.  And I
believe a large segment of mankind suffers serious mental
health issues, self-delusion and cockamamie religious beliefs
being number one.   
 
I do believe in helping others to the best of our ability, and
treating others how we would want to be treated if we had
their tastes, traits, and talents, their strengths and their
weaknesses.

Status: offline 		A strange thing happened after I bought this house and moved in.  I was sleeping alone in my giant king-sized waterbed when I was awakened in the middle of the night by a "tap-tapping" on one of my legs. 

I sleep pretty sound so I awoke w/ a start, sat straight up in bed... nothing.  It happened a few times after that too, and always during the middle of the week, never on a weekend when I could sleep in, lol.

I never think about whether I believe or don't believe, but I know I have had a few strange things happen here, not as strange as some but strange enough for me.

The last thing that happened was a few months ago...
I woke up in the middle of the night (middle of the week again), and groggily saw a person's shadow move from the closet to the bedroom doorway, could have been nothing.... but still.... ya never know.

Status: offline 		I believe in the possibility of the existence of non-corporeal entities. I have seen enough "singular event" evidence to support the notion of these entities' existence.

I have seen no direct evidence supporting that these entities were ever human or if they are something else that merely mimicks us once in a while. That's the main problem I have with paranormal research, its all philosophical interpretation of collected audio, video and photographic evidence and not a well-supported theory with a standard methodology to recreate circumstances within a controlled environment.

Status: offline 		I'm not being flippant here with the original post but what I struggle with is the fascination with ghosts. If there are a few floating around then good luck to them, I hope they're enjoying themselves.......you know, earning a living like the rest of us, a few pints down the pub with their ghost mates, holidays in far off lands etc.

But, I just don't get the fascination. Does it matter if some old bloke is creeping around the corridors at night scaring your dog? Maybe it's just the way my mind works but I don't see the fascination with non specific objects like ghosts or God for that matter. On the grounds of fairness, if there is a God I hope he/she is enjoying him/herself too and is royally engaged in unholy activities involving himself and several angels.

Maybe you could do a few chores around the house while you're spookily (but in a friendly manner) floating around cuddle's house - like making the tea and a spot of dusting/cleaning/hoovering.

Status: offline 		i believe in ghosts and generally they scare the hell out of me. 

When i was a kid, some of the other kids at my school had this bright idea to try and open a doorway to hell in the field, by drawing things in the dirt.  I dunno, i didnt really stick around too much.  But i usually took my dog up there for a walk when the school was closed.  That day there was "whirls" of wind where no wind should be.  Like little tornados or something i dunno.. but i was like.. um time to go home?  On the way home coming down my street, i felt something behidn me and i took off running.  Generally i'm not a bad runner but i ended up going flying smashing into the sidewalk.

When i was 15, i tried to commit suicide by taking a load full of house hold pills.  Whatever was in the cabinet.  Just made me feel sick and shit and as i was laying in bed, i swear to God there was something at the end of my bed and it was fucking demonic.  I would not open my eyes.  Yet i could feel it and i knew excatly what the fuck it looked like. 

When i was 18, i took 32 sleeping pills and 40 trazadones.  I waited 30 minutes before i emailed 2 friends simply telling them to have a good life. They woke up for God knows why on a work night at 4 am and read the letters.  Knowing me well enough, they called fire and rescue.  Fire and rescue came, and i was generally going from consciousness to unconsciousness.  Every now and then being aware of my surroundings.  I suppose they put something in me to throw up.  Yet i was refusing to throw up because i thought it'd be quite rude to throw up on my mothers couch.  I remember my body lifting from the force of fighting it.

And then......  i saw my mother at the end of the couch and she threw up on my feet (no less) and simply because of seeing her do that, i allowed myself to throw up.  Yet my mother was never there. 

swear to God that there were angels at work that night.  If it wasnt for my 2 friends who had woken up for no reason, or the angel sitting at my feet telling me it was okay.  I'd be dead   Pretty much, no one expected me to live anyways.. but yet i did unbelieving to all. 

So i believe in Angels and i believe in ghosts.

I'll be happy to meet an another Angel any day, but damn if yer a ghost plssssssss stay the hell away!

Status: offline 		yes i believe in ghost i know they either come to visit me or they call me on the phone. Master and i have one that likes to come in our room when the door is shut it will come open all by its self.
