I call this one the c-word, and bondage (I am coquette886) the b-word.
I like the forums in both places, and enjoy being a member of several groups there, including the 'MasterBaiters'...a group for bratty types and the doms who love them.[;)][:D]
I have only met two men real time.  One from bondage...he is a gentleman and a wonderful dom.  And my Master found me here.  He is also a gentleman and a fantastic dom.
I have been verrrry lucky.

I was on Bondage.com for a short while but I hated the interface, and I got no results at all.

I had a silver membership on Alt, which I have now allowed to revert to the free one.

I had a fair bit of success on the site over 3 years or so, met a few and also corresponded with some nice people, however in the end I do feel it wasn't worth the money, and was becoming less so as time went on. The main issues I had with it were lots of site bugs (it looked like it was programmed by chimpanzees),  and the seemingly large numbers of fake profiles.

There seemed to me (looking in the Europe region) that there were large numbers of East European mafia seeded profiles - scammers trying to get credit card access, spammers to get email addys, and mail order "subs" who are really just looking for green cards. Or webcams and online dominations scams.  (I see a few of these that I suspect on CM, but it is much cleaner than Alt by far).

Possibly some of the profiles are seeded by Alt themselves to bolster their membership, certainly as mentioned elsewhere on this thread, they never delete profiles so it looks like there are waaaaay more active members than there are.

There were also I suspect many profiles posted by men as fantasies to see what stories and ideas they could come up with. I'm sure most of the 19 year old "no-limits - no taboos" slaves are all fake.

My biggest bugbear with Alt though, is that it is so mainstream that many of the profiles are really vanilla ones, and IMHO, shouldn't be on a BDSM site at all. Namely, the couples with a bi curious wife (whom I have no doubt, has no idea that hubby posted the ad)  looking for a woman to join them for kinky fun. Fine, but sweet f.a. to do with SM.

I am relatively new to Collar me, but I have hope. The message boards at least look interesting and the people seem more genuine. Not much contact yet, but hopefully that will grow. There are few extreme dominant women out there on the best of days, maybe some are here.

Lashra - I had a 70 BST on EQ I before I quit (quit after Gates of Dischord). I've met people through my World of Warcraft guild who I found out over time were kinda kinky. There is also

Slavefarm is pretty awesome

I have Mine posted on three sites:  the one that starts with "A,", the one that starts with "B," and Collarme.
 
I get the most replies on the "A" site and Collarme.  People have asked Me which one is better and I'd have to say they are comparable for Me (YMMV).  I have met some very nice people on both and some real jerks on both. 
 
In addition, I go to a fair number of lifestyle events.  I meet boatloads of subs who want to play, but few interested in a long-term relationship.  So at least I can have fun while I continue My search [sm=smile.gif]

I'm on Alt.com mainly for the local area chat room which I visit a couple times a week. I know most of the people there in RL from munches and private and public play parties. I,m on CM for the forums and dabble in Bondage.com.

so far, i have yet to find any others that are as free as CM...Alt and Bondage both charge to send and receive emails. so there's not much hope of finding any others like CM.

Ive mainly been on alt and on here.  I met quite a few people from both. I found Angel here, but also discovered he is on alt too.  just never visits.
Since I am not actively looking anymore, I stick to here.  Alt tends to be too sexually skewed for my tastes, very few lifetylers and even fewer capable of a conversation that doesnt start or end with "When do I get to serve?"

yes, area 14 went offline unfortunately, and the aforementioned problems with b.com and alt make them much less useful. While this truly is a great site, im thinking there must be a section in the ad side ive missed, you know, with those who actually ARE looking?

well, i know many still seek, and pardon the sarcasm, but we are becoming sadly outnumbered by those who dont, which is a good thing presumably - for them. But since most who aren't get self-righteously annoyed when flirted with, after posting plainly their preference in their profile, one wonders if they'd not be happier with their own special category, which separated them from those who are, eliminating much confusion and frustration on both sides.

I used to look at all of the sites. You can meet some of the people on the pay sites free. This site seems to be one of the eaisest places to get to meet people in person. Since I have been on here I have closed down the other sites that I have been on.

I am on several..Alt..had 2 emails..I go for my area chatrooms..Here, which I have only had luck meeting and corresponding with others. No luck finding a Dominant man. I have had the most luck on AFF but the men are only wanting to know  what kinky sex I like..That is not all there is to this....On MySpace, met just friends or just the ones I already know and have found me, or I them. On here, CM, I have gotten a few emails but no one reads that I can not relocate. As for the ones in my area..I hear very little. It's good for corresponding with a few friends. I go to the local club but there are very few single Dominant men or they are not someone you would want to spend time with. There are mostly couples.Of course, these are strictly my opinions.

i've been on sugardaddie.com a couple of times ... the first time when it was still free and then later for a few months on a paid basis.  i received lots of response but soon discovered that many if not most daddies there were short of sugar:  lots of gross exaggeration of their stations in life.  And while many were curious about bondage and bdsm it seemed like very few were really interested in the sense of bdsm being a part of their lifestyle. 

i had a Silver membership on alt for a yearor so and did get many inquiries.  i interacted r/t with three individuals i met there and everything turned out ok;  a couple i saw over a period of time and one i have continued to see from time to time even now.  These were in my capacity as a professional bondage model. 

i do find alt to be bloated in the sense that thousands of their so-called members are totally inactive and haven't been on site for forever and a day ... but still show up in searches, etc.
