in the back of the head and murdered by an illegal alien
who had already been deported for a crime of indecency

It has nothing to do with them.  It is the media sensationalizing it.  Cops get killed all the time.  Do you think the media gives a shit if it was some middle class white guy that shot one?  Of course not.

So, if you can not post without pointing the fingers, lay the blame where it belongs.  On the media.

terrible story, awful for the family of the cop.........are there any figures relating to deaths caused by illegal aliens? and if so, can it be compared to deaths caused by citizens? Wouldn't it be odd if it turned out that illegal aliens were less likely to kill than citizens? However, unless we have access to sensible figures we'll never know.
