If I signed the permission slip, then I would be saying its ok...just my opinion..

If I didnt want them to see it I wouldnt sign the slip....also, it depends on the age of the child.

My horrors have been visiting museums/art galleries with me since they were very young. They have never batted an eyelid when they have seen nude statuary. School has not given them the opportunity to visit anything other than the local science museum, feild trips seem to be few and far between.

They are just body parts. The only nudes I have seen that I would have a problem with my child seeing- well, they aren't in museums.

Well, when the weather's hot we all walk around nude in my house, so I dont think the kids would be all that interested, still less bothered, still less corrupted.

The kids see far more examples of nudity standing in line at the checkout, watching TV &/or driving down the road on billboards or store front advertising.

At least they can see examples of tasteful expressions of the human form at the museums.

Well I voted no.  But to clarify...

An old nude sculpture, say Michaelangelo's David, no problem.  Nothing wrong with nudity.

Modern art however is very different.  I'd be more concerned about my future children being exposed to some of it.  I've been to modern art galleries, and accidently walked on some modern art - broken glass on carpet, which was not roped off - and seen photos of human extrement as well as paintings made with elephant dung hung up as art.  Some of you may not be aware of movements like "Danger Music" a few decades ago, which tried to bring danger into music.  Some practictioners attempted to give people permanent hearing loss in the name of art.

So, non modern art, no probs.  Modern art, may be a concern.

I would not be upset at the thought of my child seeing a nude sculpture anywhere. Besides what are museums for? To show off ones art. It is a part of life. I would rather them see it in a museum than in a grocery store or on T.V. because it is being distorted & not made out to mean what it really is. ART!

Helllllllllllllll NO!!!!

What a twisted idea that would be. My kids were subject to nudity and fine art from day one. Nudity has never been an issue in my family. Granted there is a very definate line in how it is presented, in what context they are seeing it, but they have always been exposed (laughing at that word here) to all sorts of art with naked bodies, National Geographic, and the unlocked bathroom door. Example, Mom soaking in the tub and kid has to pee.......one bathroom in the house.......kid uses facilities then proceeds to tell mom about their day. No biggy ziggy.
