There are male pro doms. Look in any gay magazine and you'll see the ads. Men want their needs filled, period. Women, by and large, want an emotional connection. That's why, generally speaking, women will prefer to go home with no sex and no play whereas a man will take whatever he can get.

if a Domme so much as expects to be courted by a male sub including paying for dinner that we're somehow "just in this for the money".

Definately an attitude I don't get.. I make money with IT, but IT is also a hobby and I help friends with PC problems, but that doesn't mean I would help any joe blow with a PC problem...
Same thing really..

Actually, I am not against prostitution, nor am I against pro-dommes.  I feel sorry for them, because I know they wouldn't be doing this if they hadn't been mistreated and abused by some male at some point in their lives.

are you serious?

Seriously delusional, maybe.

Whippy claims to have run a "Dominatrix business" but I think his employees were about as real as this.

This has got to be the never ending discussion[8|]
over and over on and on keep on singing that same old song *sing*
I don't think people will ever agree on these things, why not just let people do their things and as for prositutes there have been many here who've said that many clients only come 'cause they've nobody else to talk to and enjoy their company in a normal way[8|] but then of course there're many that want their service but HELLO since when are we locked up insidea a gawd damn nunnery..or monastery or whateva??

Yes.  He apparently ran a commercial dungeon where he advertised for women who wanted to get paid to beat men and funnily enough, got just that...women who wanted to be paid to beat men...and offered them to punters as 'pro dommes'

Due to the evidence of my own eyes, I agree that men created this market.  When it's a service they're looking for, I dislike to see whining that the services aren't for free and that it's soooo unfair to male customers.

Hello A/all,

As long as there is a market for something, there will be people willing to provide it to them.

While I have never been in a strip club, rarely watch porn, and dont buy porn magazines, I have told my children that I have nothing but respect for the people who work in that industry.  I have also told them that if they want to get rid of the industry, the correct way to get rid of it is on the demand side, not the supply side.

Think about Prohibition.  Did making production and sales of alcohol make people stop drinking?  No.  It just made the criminals engaged in making it richer.

Just me, could be wrong, but there you go.

You're right on target, Frank.  Anyone else taken Midori's "Beyond Kink" class?  She mentioned that (at work) pro doms are inherently "service tops" when she taught here at Rapture NYC.

What these threads mostly do is provide free advertisement for those in the business.
