I cannot convey to you how angry I am that you choose to air our dirty and private laundry in a public chatroom! Do not send me any further links to your collarme "threads." It's a cheap shot, and I won't tolerate it any further. Granted, I suggested that you go there initially to glean the reactions of others to the situation. That is a far cry from engaging in an ongoing open and public debate about my stupidity, my lack of caring about your safety and my incompetence as a Master. Every time a person attempts to explain a situation to another person, there is always -- I repeat, always -- an inherent spin that is placed on the facts. More often than not, this is done unintentionally -- even unconsciously -- by the fact-giver. No matter how hard you may try to be fair in relating what happened, these people weren't there! They simply cannot fully comprehend and appreciate the nuances of the dynamic that infused our interaction. And for you then to send me these links so that I can read my public excoriation at the hands of your collarme colleagues, who are all-too-eager to express an opinion on anything, is nothing short of unconscionable. One individual who responded to your inquiry bemoaned the fact that you were essentially a captive in my vehicle. Did you conveniently forget to add the fact that when you ordered me to "Stop the car; I want to get out!", I told you that if that was what you really wanted, I would do so? At that point, you retreated from that demand, did you not? That's quite a bit different from what you told the group -- namely, that I refused to let you out. Was that simply an oversight, lisa, or a bit of spin? The fact that I remain anonymous in all of this is scant consolation to me and makes it no less degrading. After your initial post at my instruction, you should have asked my permission before going any further in this debacle. Reading all the judgments about me by people who know absolutely nothing about me save what you choose to tell them is reminiscent of that famous judge in the Wild West who used to tell the accused who came before him: "We're going to give you a fair trial -- and then we're going to hang you!" I am instructing you to cut and paste this email verbatim into another collarme post as soon as you have finished reading it. I want those who so readily condemn me based on your recitation of the facts to see it. After that, lisa, you may talk with them about anything in the world -- anything but me. Leave me out of it.
