Ok. well, I've used both and enjoy both, but they definately both have their drawbacks. Of the two, bondage tape is better for it's re-usability and WASHability. Both stretch a bit, but after a few layers of vetwrap the stretch is lost (which is good for stringent bondage, but bad for circulation). Since there's no adhesive, the tape can be cut just as easily as the vet wrap. The same day I bought my tape I bought a pair of safety scissors with serrated edges. Plastic wrap is lots of fun, but when you get several layers over skin the edges can roll up and anyone who has experienced this knows how quickly it ruins a scene. This is why many people use tape with the plastic/pallet/seran wraps. Once it starts rolling it gets much tighter and loses it's stretch, which is what makes it so good for wrapping pallets, when it's in "string" form it's amazingly strong. I've had my hands wrapped in both for puppy play. I sweat more in the bondage tape because it doesn't breath. The downside to vetwrap is that it's cloth-like and has a carpet effect to it, pressing it tightly against the skin and then putting weight on it leaves bumps all over (similar to when someone has been roped tightly and the rope is taking off, you can see the outline of the rope in the flesh). A gentle massage makes it go away, but we go back to the loss of circulation discussion, and the longer the vet-wrap is on the more it "dries" (I believe the moisture effects how it stretches - you can feel the difference between a brand new unused roll that's out of it's wrapper for a few days and one that's just been opened), the less comfortable it gets.
