Would now be a good time to tell you I spent five years playing Dungeons and Dragons?

Oh yeah. I had a level 6 cleric, a level 5 wizard and quite a few others - I went through a coachload of characters. I was DM quite a lot too. I still have the games on a shelf in my bedroom. My kids are dying to get their hands on them.

And......... do you have valium to hand?
I also spent ten years doing living history and battle reenactments. You know? 17th century clothes, muskets and swords and all that?

But man, I still dont get them Trekkies.

You know who else pisses me off?  BIKERS.  Last night, after logging off of CollarMe, I ended up going out to the bar with some friends, (Yes I DO have friends; you can't hate everything)  and nearly got my ass kicked by another biker.  Notice that I said ANOTHER biker - because it's a given that any biker I meet will want to kick my ass within three minutes of initial contact.

His girlfriend (unbeknownst to Yours Truly, at the time) was on the smoking patio outside of the bar, shivering in her hoody.  She was cute little, black-haired, green-eyed, nose-studded chickadee, so I made some trivial comment or another to break the ice.  She responded by laughing, then reaching down to zip up my fly, which I had accidently left undone after going to the bathroom.  Now, her boyfriend.......a big, ugly, mean-looking, bearded, Sturgis-loving, son-of-bitch happened to walk out onto the smoking patio at exactly that that moment.  Let's just say that a verbal confrontation ensued......................but I ended up just leaving with my buddies, before he got heated up enough to kick my ass - and he could have kicked it in a New York minute, too.

I don't know why women want to date ugly men like that...............especially a big ol' meanie like this guy.  My friend and I were dressed to the nines last night, and I had done my hair up and all that................and this dude had the nerve to call me "some fuckin' queer, tryin' to talk to my girl."  I've tried and tried to figure out just why bikers are so dumb, but I just can't.   Do their parents pass on the stupid gene, or is it the fumes from their bikes?

Could anyone help me understand why bikers are so devoid of intellectual content?

No, but as DM, I will allow the following consequences to this comment, using a d20.

1-3 - you escape injury
4-15 - you get flamed half to death by Scooter
16-20 - you get fully grilled

I expect Scooter has a +3 flaming post, being readied now.

You can always roll again for a new character though remember

Ehhh, Scooter ain't bad.  I've read his posts..............but he's the  probably one of the VERY, VERY, VERY FEW smart bikers out there.  The rest of his brethren...........well..........not so impressive - unless you're a meth-addled  30 something stripper named Dakota.

Tre - bikers, and any other group, are reflections of greater society; there are great people and jerks everywhere.

Aileen - did you take that new pic when you had just found that remote by any chance? Thats a very happy countenance there!

Hun, dorks always grow up to rule the world... it is sad, but true. Look at Karl Rove for example.

Most bikers I know are extremely intelligent... mayors, ex-mayors, millionaires... you know the type.... and why women are so attracted to them.... well, I've never met one single biker that couldn't give the best face any woman could ask for.

So there I was, just minding my own business, wading through the normal rants and raves and low and behold, there was this strange thread from some guy with a New England accent (sorry, just a stereotype I'm sure...lol) mentioning something about bikers having a thought formulating disability....lol. OK, I admit I have met a few that fit this category, just as I have met idiots in the medical field (which scares me much worse) and most lawyers I have ever had the displeasure of having to converse with (Hey, I get to have a group I don't like too damnit). I would grant the flame of all flames request, but I have to admit it's hard to do while laughing at the mental picture I get of you standing there with your fly down, trying to explain to the biker in question that you were just trying to make polite conversation. Pssst, he might have not been the brightest crayon in the box, but I suspect he didn't buy into that. Good move not mentioning to him that you didn't care for StarTrek though, that might have really made him mad...lmao. Of course I am certain that since you had your hair all "done up" (what hair?) and dressed up in your Dockers (or whatever), that he would have shown mercy....well maybe not, but you would have at least had the satisfaction of looking good while being dismembered. Can't understand why you piss them off so bad (rolls eyes).
In all honesty, there is cream and scum in every classification of society out there and assuming anyone's particular rating on that scale before meeting them, simply because of something they do, how they appear, or what they are into, is the probably the only true lack of intelligence.

Maybe, he'll let you ride bitch with him.
Where'd ya buy the ARMY sweatshirt for your picture? Sure as hell didn't earn it.

I agree with Scooter. All groups have their good and bad people. There are good bikers & bad doctors. But how come every December the bikers have a ride for "Toys For Tots"? At least they have one in Chicago. I have never seen a group of doctors parading their Mercedes & BMW's, have you? My suggestion to you is get in your Ford Focus and hit the hip hop bars and stay away from the biker bars.

Gosh Tre, I'm not sure what it could be about you that has such an effect on "big ol' meanie" bikers. If what you say is true and every one of them you ever meet wants to kick your ass, I would suggest  that until you can figure out what might be triggering them I would avoid them. I would hate to think that anyone would wish to harm that "cute 22 year old boyflesh". You might also want to try harder to remember to zip your fly after you are done with your business. Oh yeah, and don't try to pick up chicks in biker bars.

As to the broad generalization you made about intellect....you do realize that when people stereotype in such a manner it says something about THEIR intellectual capacity right? There are a fair number of biker folks here on the boards, myself included, none of whom I have found to be intellectually challenged. Maybe you could specifically point out the stupid ones for me???

Oh and I have to add that I agree with Jewel.....they do give great face!!!
