Status: offline 		I am posting here because there are more of the regulars and less of the impassioned newbies, plus I am a bit better known here.

Anyway there is something seriously wrong with my profile.  Either it screams "crazy man cuts up and eats Sacramento women" or "most unerotic man IN Sacramento" or something.

I have a few women here who at least find me somewhat interesting and yet I get few if any responses from local women regardless of whether I email them or upon their randomly viewing mine.

I spend years in the scene it currently sucks (too drama laden and full of women I am not attractived to) so don't recomend I start attending munches.  I hate going to parties because I feel like an ass sitting around and not playing all while there are women sitting around who all want to play but with whom I have zero desire to play with.

I was wondering, is it a bit too modest?  Lacking a touch of fantasy?  That is what I am begining to think.

So, what say you all?

Status: offline 		Honestly, CD, because you do post here I think I automatically insert a disclaimer regarding the beginning of your profile where you say you seek a woman who is capable of sustaining a long term vanilla relationship. This relates a bit to the thread I started on 'feeding your inner beast' and how a lot of people put an expectation on someone else to do that for them. For a lot of us, we are not capable of sustaining a long term vanilla relationship because it's not true to our nature to do so. If it were, well, we'd be vanilla! So, that first paragraph would scare me away. Then going on to see that your time is filled right now with school etc, and you aren't looking for a committed relationship, then go on to say you're not really looking for the S/m thing either .. it rather reads like your looking for a part-time girlfriend whose inner beast is not going to be filled in a relationship with you. That's not a fault, it's just that it can take a good long time for people to recognize their own personal responsibility in getting fed and stop depending on others to do it for them. That's a part of growth though and someone who is already at that point probably isn't searching on the internet for a partner.

Of course, if women would take the time to come read your posts in the forums, they'd probably get a bit of a different view, but as it stands, I don't know that someone would take the time to do so.

All that said, it comes across as very honest and forthright and without that in place, you don't  have a shot anyway.

There will be someone to whom it appeals though and when it does, you're probably going to be in a very healthy starting place.

Oh yea this is me...shooting it from the hip. The size 12 bothers me. The fact that You place it right on Your profile makes me think that You want a barbie doll/ trophy sub. It means that You aren't wanting to get to know the spirit or the heart but more what she looks like. Another way to probably put it would be "I want a woman who cares about herself and shows this in the care of her body." Then You aren't putting a size on anyone. i know that my DD breasts have to wear large sizes. ;) Which means i wouldn't fit Your discription of what You want yet i have been told by many that my hour glass figure is perfect.

Why IS it, at 6’2 and 250# (!!!) you want such tiny women?  Okay, don’t answer that…but to me it’s a bit curious.
 
Personally, I enjoy play partners, too…but I want to have at least a friendship with my play partners.  The way you’ve worded that second paragraph makes me wonder if you have the time to get to know me.  
 
Sooooooo… to me not liking floggers is a big deal.  Who doesn’t like floggers?  I can see calling a ‘single tail’ showy…but floggers?  Most all the subs I know love ‘em.  And…if you don’t like ‘em…and prefer and demand service instead; I’d imagine you’re talking mostly sex.  But…that’s just me and perhaps I’m wrong.
 
As far as the daddy role…hey, there seems to be a bunch of folks out there into that; but just HOW does it work if now in a mushy, touchy, feely way?  I’m confused, now.
 
Personally, I have come to like and respect you (here) very much, but this profile does little for me and just doesn’t seem to match up with my image of you, either.  Heck, even the list of  Likes & Dislikes doesn’t feel like it matches what you say in your profile very well (to me).  Am I the only one who feels this way?

Regarding 'vanilla'; I'm thinking a relationship is a relationship.  Perhaps what you want are women who can sustain a long-term relationship...period.  But again, in the same breath you say you don't have time for one; very confusing!

Actually, I had no issue with you stating a desired size limit.  It's childish to pretend that people are or aren't attracted to specific body types or physical features.  I think the main problem may just be your name.  Those who read and post over here know the origin of the name along with your posting history.  Many on the other side don't even know that the boards even exist.  Those ladies are not privy to your charms here.     I think the part that I found most appealing was when you discussed the power of your voice over the power of your whip...paraphrasing here from memory since your now awaiting approval.  But then again, I'm more of a mental masochist.  You have good bones to the profile...make it be more you.  When you become comfortable reading it then others will too.

Status: offline 		Your new profile is pending, so I do not know if this was addressed or not, but before you changed it I seem to remember that it was kinda conflicting in nature. In other words you are not wanting a LTR but the rest of your profile kinda conflicted with that image of casual play with no strings. You sought intelligent, capable, secure women.. but at this point you do not have the time to devote to developing a relationship with one. Most women I know that fit the description of intelligent, secure, and capable often have more needs than casual play and want to build something lasting... not all, but many. I can imagine some might be put off by you saying that you just do not have time to devote to building a relationship. It is understandable that you feel that way at this point in your life, but if someone has a lot going for them they are probably going to want to develop a substantial relationship with someone... especially a person of the submissive persuasion that wants someone to give themselves to.....

Status: offline 		     I liked the original profile Crappy.  It put your sense of humor right up front (supposedly the #1 thing women want) and automatically sorted the dumb ones who would piss you off after two minutes of conversation.

     Rather than mentioning the current time constaints you are under as a negative, talk about the goals you are pursuing and wanting to make the most of your limited free time.  Let the checklist do the talking on what you don't care for.

      Bita made an excellent point about getting that inner beast fed.  Painsluts are fun, throw them a bone in there somewhere. 

      Last, dump the size restriction in the main body of the profile and add "no fat chicks" at the very bottom.

Status: offline 		CD, It's been awhile since I read your profile and I didn't come on this thread until after your edit, but I like your profile. I think it is very honest. I'd much prefer a man be upfront that he is not in the right time frame of his life for commitment than to go into it hoping it might develop into something more only to be shot down later. As for the size 12 thing, again, I think that is just being honest. I don't think size 12 women are tiny for one thing....at least I surely don't feel tiny...but we all have our preferences and I think it is far more important to be honest about them than to waste people's time. If that is indeed the point at which you would no longer be interested, than I don't see an issue in saying so.

No offense but, it might indeed be your name. I know that before I became familiar with your posts, I assumed that it was a reference to scat play. Maybe that is turning some away before they take the time to look. I might be way off....but if I thought it...well, others might too.

Status: offline 		I'm not sure these will be all that helpful ... I have no experience with online match making of any kind.
 
I would get rid of all the dry humor, screen name, etc ... we here have come to know that is just you, being you ... but I honestly don't think it plays well as an opening. Dry humor works well on those you know, or at least casually know, such as on this board. I couldn't imagine being somewhere and being hit on by a guy throwing around his dry humor. I would tend to think that he was either a complete tool, or the humor was covering a lack of confidence, or he just had a huge ego. Dry humor is tricky ... it can at times, sound like talking down to someone.
 
I would also remove the reference to size 12 ... there is nothing wrong with wanting what you want, but you start to wonder if the time you are saving is worth the people you may be turning off. You are interested in intelligent women ... there is probably a pretty good chance that since you are giving your 'vitals' most will get the point.
 
Less BDSM information and more general information. It's a BDSM site ... you really don't need to go any further in an opening. Could you imagine walking right up to someone you just met and talking about assorted sex acts that interest you? I for one would be more interested in what you are studying, etc ... especially given that you are more interested in someone that can actually have a real relationship.
 
That's my advice ... and please understand that it's just off the cuff stuff ... no real experience to back it up, and you are also probably more interested in someone twice my age. This may be of no real value to you ... but I thought to try. If there is one thing I have had a lot of experience with, it's first dates.

I am not sure if it is the cynical side of me or the asshole side that just makes it impossible to come up with a serious name.  Years ago back when yahoo chat was new, I went by "master of pain" which was to remind me of how much emotional pain I did and could cause.

I figure if a woman can't see past a stupid name, she isn't worth tying up.
