Status: offline 		What if you aren't looking for the One?  Not everyone here is searching for that long term commitment.  Some are just searching for one that they can play intensely with.  Does that make me a fake?  Or am I just as real as you?

Status: offline 		No, it doesn't mean you're a fake.  At least I hope not, because I'm not really looking for The One.  And, I like to think I'm real.  And smart enough to notice The One if I happen to stumble over him.  Because sometimes I get the feeling there's only one, and never more than one, and if I miss Him I'm shit out of luck for the rest of my life.  And that would really suck.

You are just as real, just not looking for a commitment.  That might change eventualy, or it might not. You are still loking to play, you are still loking for a partner, just not one who will be the end all be all of your life.

Its true, I did think about changing my namet to shitty whatever.  The thought really did cross my mind, but I pushed it away because surely The One would pass me right up with a name like that, right?

And, that doesn't make me any less real, does it?

Not looking for the one doesn't make you less real than anyone else...  Being honest on the other hand makes you more so than most.   M

I think your honesty makes you more real than the miriads of players that say they are looking for the "One" and never follow through on anything.  I would give an hour of play time with you then the endless hours I have spent weeding through the "non-commitals but really looking because I really want it so trust me even though I will never get back to you and keep you dangling because I really don't mean what I say" crowd.

It just means your honest is all.  I think its funny searching for your one.  That says that there is only one person for every other person out there.  Thats really a sad and depressing thought really.  I mean what if my one died, then I'm alone or does another get born for me?  These are the stupid thoughts I think of when I see those words.
  For me its more like "Let me walk along the path with you for while (months/years)", in the end you never know where the path ends.

Throw D/s or M/s into the picture, I refuse to even touch playing.  It becomes not fair.  It's too intense.  Perhaps it is just the way I relate to submissives.  (No, I'm certain it is.) 

For me to say I'm holding out is just protecting anyone that comes anywhere near me.
