My one "addiction" is coffee. I drink copious amounts of it, but my doctor has amazingly said that the caffiene is not adversely affecting me. I have had my bouts with addictions to perscription drugs. Doctors always thought that medications would solve my problems, and after a few years, I took myself off al the meds. Cold Turkey. NOT FUN. Breaking an addiction, caffiene, nicotine or drug related... never easy. I had no support, and I still have people trying to convince me I made the wrong choice. Obviously, they prefer dealing with me medicated. Too bad for them, isnt it? I am far happier now knowing how I actually react to things that go on rather than th edrugged fog that made everything OK. Now, I make sure that no one I get involved with have addictions. If they need help breaking one, I can help. I cant imagine anyone trying to do what I did with the lack of support I had. If I can avoid putting someone through that, I will. DV
