oooooo i can add something to the hilarity here! I was actually reading about something similiar the other day and god knows what it was or how i got there! But i just found something similiar quote:
Recent studies in neuroscience have indicated that a consistent number of chemicals are present in the brain when people testify to feeling love. These chemicals include; Testosterone, Oestrogen, Dopamine, Norepinephrine, Serotonin, Oxytocin, and Vasopressin. More specifically, higher levels of Testosterone and Oestrogen are present during the lustful phase of a relationship. Dopamine, Norepinephrine, and Seretonin are more commonly found during the attraction phase of a relationship. Oxytocin, and Vasopressin seemed to be more closely linked to long term bonding and relationships characterized by strong attachments. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love Here's another good site similiar to what i was reading the other day http://www.cyberparent.com/love/love-being-in-love-1.htm quote:
But scientists tell us love is all in our mind or brain. And fueled by chemicals and chemistry. quote:
Only about three percent of mammals are monogamous, mating and bonding with one partner for life. Unfortunately, scientists tell us humans are not one of these naturally monogamous mammals. Maybe a few injections of vasopressin would help us. It has been called the monogamy chemical. quote:
The chemical oxytocin has been termed the cuddling chemical. Linked to milk production in women, oxytocin makes women and men calmer and more sensitive to the feelings of others. The longer two people have been married, the more likely it is that they'll stay married. In part, they become addicted to the endorphins and marital serenity. here's some back up reference..... (as my first two sites where what was easily found) http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1175/is_5_37/ai_n6332395 heres a good science site you can go search it out on if you want http://www.sciencemag.org/index.dtl cos i'm tired of looking and if yall want to prove or disprove i'm sure its not hard
