Thinking you pretty much answered your on question with the above statement. Adding also I dont look at a submissive strictly as sexual, as sex is never the primary. I look to her subservience first. The sex is just icing

In addition to the relationships described so far, for some relationships the submissive might perform sexual services for the dominant without getting any sexual relief or stimulation of their own. There are also some relationships where the dominant might not be concerned with their own orgasm but may use sexual stimulation and orgasms on a submissive as a way to train them to perform in a desired manner. Submission may not always involve sex but IMO it always involves the mind.

No, it's not always sexual. (Recall that I posted something to your question last week concerning women seeking bedroom submissives?) For some of us, "service" extends far beyond just licking someone else's privates or providing sexual gratification.

A submissive could take on the role of a girl friday, or a majordomo in the home, and the position may have absolutely NO sexual connotation to it at all. Both parties might be equally gratified in their arrangement by the satisfaction given/received. (They may have sexual partners elsewhere in their lives, or perhaps it's just not a part of their dynamic.)
