I'm not a big Pro Bowl person, rarely if ever watch it. For my money is a political/popularity nod, more than anything else. The good news, from my perspective, is that only one Patriot was elected. Last time that happened was... ummm.. lemme see..... 2001. I think we won the SB that year.  < I kid, I kid, I am not expecting to make it past one play off game this year.

Alot of deserving players are going, alot have been over looked, IMO. Romo kinda surprises me, and I'm not so sure I consider him Pro Bowl caliber yet, Sorry Level.  DeAngelo Hall is another one. He's been burned by most WR that he has lined up against this year.
Westbrook and Vrabel, sadly were overlooked.

A story about some good players who aren't going to the pro bowl:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/don_banks/12/19/pro.bowl/index.html

I agree, it is a popularity, name recognition vote more than who has been good during the season.

I agree about Romo; he's done a fine job... but then again, who else would you choose over him? Vick? Favre? Delhomme?

All talented QBs, but none having standout seasons.

Yes, I pick him.  Looks over performance, that's what I say.
He's having a sucky year, too bad for him, I picked the Panthers to go far this season.

I like to watch Da Bears.  Urlacher and Hester make it fun.  Grossman makes it fun.  Sometimes.

On one of the Football MB I go to, we girlie posters became very tired over the constant testosterone filled threads about who's the Best QB,, TB or PM.. soo we hijacked one of the threads and turned it into a gushy, swoony: whos the cutest QB
< TB or PM>. It turned out to be hilarious, the " boyz" were not happy and abandoned the thread. There has never been another Who's better TB or PM since we did that.

Level: I think I might go as far as to say Garcia... he, like Romo, came off the bench and has Philly in a pretty good position after a lousy early showing by the Eagles.
< ducks to avoid objects being thrown her way >

And yeah, Vick is another one I would consider. I'm not opposed to Romo, just think he has not exceeded some other performances and has only played half the season.

cannot help if my job takes me to where the Da Bears hang out when not on the field.

now if you want to talk about stats and game plays i'm there - yes Da Bears were totally sloppy on field Sunday from where i was sitting in the stadium. they cannot afford to make mistakes like that during the playoffs

Well, I'll agree that Garcia has done a good job, but he's played even less than Romo. Vick....he's so uneven, but I'm surprised Romo came out ahead of him, in a way.

I suspect Vick flipping of the crowd had a little something to do with the votes.

Here's a question that has been bugging me all day:

Fan vote is 1/3 of the total Pro Bowl voting. Fan votes are not finished, as far as I know. Could there be changes in who's going or not going, based on the totality of the vote?

I bet you're right about Vick.

Now, I'm not sure about the fan voting, I thought it all was done.

Here's a link on one of your guys, Ty Warren. He was a rock while at Texas A&M, so it's no surprise he's coming on strong in the pros.

** drum roll**

TB, of course !!
And I was the only Pats chick on the site. I did some shameless smack talking until they all caved just to shut me up.  But on the same hand I asmitted that PM was a better QB if they all stipulated that TB was the cuter one.
