Wow,what an ego, what makes you think I would bother checking your silly profile.Newsflash...I don't give a fuck about you in any way, sense or form.

On another more interesting subject(everythings more interesting than this silly Tebow storyline)thisappears to be a weekend for the dogs. All of this weekends underdogs look like good bets San Fran 4 point dogs at home(this is actually akin to a 7 point spread, given the usual 3 point home field advantage),Denver 14 point dog(maybe not so much this game....lol) given Denvers defense this might be too much to give.Green Bay and Baltimore are both 9 point favorites....way too rich in my opinion.
Were I a betting man,and I'm not,I would take all 4 dogs.Betting on football can be profitable...but I enjoy the game far too much to go down that road again,I found myself(when I did gamble on this sport) not enjoying sunday afternoons...it became too much like work.....lol.

The guys at work bet on the football games. Its always either extremely jubilant after the score, or a state of depression. These boys bet their whole paychecks.

For awhile there in my early 30's I bet on football,I wasn't bad at it.I understood right off the bat that a spread wasn't intended to say that one team is 14(for instance) points better than another, what the 14 represents is what bookies figure it will take to get the public to split their bets on any given game...once you understand that you recognize that each week supplies you with some opportunities to turn a profit.
Dallas is usually good for more than a few out of whack lines,Dallas backers bet their team and bet it big, thereby driving a number up or down respectfully speaking.
But given all that, what eventually happened was Sundays turned into another work day...I'm making bets on all the games, not just the ones with tilted spreads.....lol.I'm miserable, and now I'm losing money too....so instead of enjoying the Giant or Jet game I am sweating over out of town/not really interested games...sometimes even rooting for resukts that hurt my teams play-off wise.....No thanks....I stopped betting and the Sundays became fun again......lol.

As much as Mike is gonna hate me for this...

Tebow...

316 yards passing...

31.6 yards per completion.

[:D]

Tazzy I hate you ,of course there are some here who claim I hate Tebow because he is a man of faith.
Both are true....I swear to god [:D]

450 fans showed up at Lambeau Field this morning to clear snow in preparation of Sundays game with the New York Giants. They were paid $10 per hour to help get the stadium ready for football. No other cityin the country would have fans that would do this. GO PACK

tazzygirl -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/13/2012 11:04:55 AM)

The Steelers would!

Hell, in New England, jailbirds clean the field for free.

tazzygirl -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/13/2012 11:10:43 AM)

LOL

Gotta love the notion that only the Packers have devoted fans.

servantforuse -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/13/2012 11:55:40 AM)

I'm not so sure that Steelers fans would show up to shovel Heinz feild by hand. I have my doubts.

tazzygirl -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/13/2012 4:16:11 PM)

Dont have any. Here, Steeler Football is to be worshiped.

Those folks are going to feel real shitty after the Giants kick the Packers ass on that nice snow free field [:D]

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/14/2012 2:55:57 PM)

Tony Bennett left his heart in San Francisco, perhaps Brees and Sean Payton(along with the rest of the Saints) are leaving their Super Bowl dreams in the city by the bay(though as I write this Brees and his Saints are furiously pulling back into a game they went down big real early)

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/14/2012 4:20:23 PM)

I will soon turn 53,I have been watching NFL games since I was a teenager and I can not,for the life of me,ever recall previously seeing an offence flaged on two consecutive plays for pass interference. For the same sort of pick play run by two different wide receivers.
WTF didn't the coaching staff cover this during the year, these guys were setting blatant illegal picks, why weren't they schooled as to the proper technique. This is playoff time those sort of technique type penalties should have been dealt with and corrected by this point in the post season.Un fucking believable ,especially when you consider that these were commited by the team with the lead.....way to play when ahead guys.....lol.

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/14/2012 5:12:30 PM)

Whata fucking game.......WOW,the rest of the weekends games have a long way to go to match this epic contest.
