Yeah, we did. But not until after the Fourth Quarter Horror of watching the Bills do all the same stupid shit that keeps us out of the playoffs. We shouldn't have won that game. If the Ravens hadn't gotten pissed and roughed the passer, they'd have gotten the ball back with enough time to get a TD. The D was sucking wind, and I doubt they had the ponies to stop them again.

Yeah, they're looking like a functional team now. They outplayed the Falcons in every phase. I'm surprised the margin wasn't more.

Geno Smith is still rough, but he's learning fast and looks like a solid QB.

The Falcons just stunk.

I'd do my happeh Kitteh dance, but last time I damn near gave myself a concussion.

Fucking FINALLY! The JAY! EEE! TEE! ESS! JETS!!! JETS!!! JETS!!! get a ticky-tacky foul called in their favor and it winds up being the difference in the game! Poor Tom Brady. I feel bad for him.

servantforuse -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (10/24/2013 6:34:17 PM)

The Green Bay Packers now have had 374 consecutive sellouts dating back to 1960.

DarkSteven -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/3/2013 12:26:59 PM)

Well, you can't say Buffalo isn't scoring. All of KC's touchdowns have come courtesy of Buffalo and their turnovers.

MasterCaneman -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/3/2013 6:30:47 PM)

Thanks. I watched that debacle just now. If we didn't TO the ball and a couple of calls went out way...

BurntKitty -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/3/2013 7:43:12 PM)

We done good again today!

Now for a much needed bye week.

Davient -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/4/2013 5:05:05 PM)

It's going to be nice in a couple of weeks to see how good the Chiefs are when they aren't playing against a third-string quarterback. If they hold Denver with Manning to 17 points, I'll believe they are for real. Until then, I'm not sold.

They remind me a lot of the Tebow-era Broncos - getting by on timing, luck, good D. And more luck.

DarkSteven -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/5/2013 6:31:15 AM)

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Broncos-Chiefs as well. Denver knows that it will need to win at least one, and hopefully both, of those games.

The Packers are in deep trouble. Rodgers and Seneca Wallace are the only two QBs on the roster, and Wallace showed he can't play. For some odd reason, they never signed a young late-round QB who could study behind Rodgers.

The Incognito thing will kill the Fins. They hired him knowing full well he was trouble, and then never kept him on a short leash. So they will be fully liable for the harassment and bullying. Unbelievably, Richie's father claimed that Martin had attempted suicide three times before. The idiot did it "anonymously" but left in his real birthdate and personal info. No indication if the three suicide attempts were prior to the bullying or in response to them. So the Dolphins, knowing a player was suicidal, permitted him to be threatened and harassed.

And if that's true about drug and suicide issues, then the Fins front office is leaking HIPAA-private medical info.

Right now, Jonathan Martin is getting buried in mail from lawyers wanting to take his case.

MasterCaneman -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/5/2013 7:48:27 AM)

They won't do well. If the Bills hadn't made so many errors, they'd have broken their streak. And Tuel is probably more fourth-string than anything else, otherwise Marrone wouldn't have activated our practice-squad QB ahead of him.

MasterCaneman -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/17/2013 5:28:19 PM)

No offense to Daddy Satyr, but BEE EYE ELL ELL ESS!!!! Total field domination, interceptions, and our defense is starting to look like they're earning their paychecks. Hoo-Ahh. Makes Me Wanna Shout...

They DID hold Denver to 17 points.

Oh, you meant in the whole game, not just the first half?

-------------------

The Ravens' game got held up. Just like in the SB. Weird that this keeps happening to them.

cloudboy -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/17/2013 8:26:20 PM)

KC is going down in defeat to the Payton Manning passing Borg. About the only person able to get Peyton Manning off is his game is Jim Irsay.

njlauren -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/17/2013 8:43:37 PM)

Well, I got to watch the NY Jets do their usual, they made the Buffalo Bills look like a real football team. At least with Cincinnati they were playing a serious contender, this was against a team with a rookie QB with no receivers. But at least it is the familiar, same old Jets, beat a team they weren't supposed to and lose to a crappy one. Lot of people in NY have been saying the Jets could get into the playoffs, I am willing to bet they fall apart and don't even make .500. People thought Geno Smith was the answer to Sanchez, he is more likely Sanchez redux, he makes the same dumb mistakes over and over.

cloudboy -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/18/2013 2:38:58 PM)

BUF is better than it's record suggest. EJ Manual is a bona fide NFL QB. I'm not so sure about Gino Smith.

I think the Jets should keep Rex Ryan as their coach.

DarkSteven -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (11/18/2013 10:25:26 PM)

Congrats to Carolina. Good game.
