It amazes me how UN-Christlike some 'christians' can be.  The actual man was not judgemental and led more by belief, inclusion and example than moralizing, exclusion and snobbery.  It's a shame more Christians don't remember the life of the man Jesus.

Amen! That is what stopped me from being christan in the first place but I have learned since then that I am not one to judge whether one is christan or not and just focus on the truth within.... as only God can sit in judgement.

So your saying you are or you arent a christian now? Because 4 posts above you stated '' I feel that embracing the the tenets of being a good christan help me to accept my submissive nature."

How do we actually know that the 'red' written words were in fact of Jesus himself. What concrete proof is there? Da Vinci code?

Speaking for myself.... what religion I have is bound up in the concepts of love and kindness. These are what make up god himself, and we as well, if we let it. Wherever you find love and kindness, you've found god.

Or, as the Dali Lhama said, "My only religion is kindness."

I noted you quoted My words but your response doesnt reflect what I asked. I appreciate your view however as its one I share also, although I sometimes question it when I see too much suffering. Thanks for sharing

No, you're right, I didn't really address the validity of the red letters truly being from Jesus, mainly because I just don't know. Those are the kind of questions that tore me up long ago, and I think that helped push me towards the simpler "god is love" type of faith, Trainer.

Whether you're reading the Bible, the Qu'ran, or Henry Miller, when you come across love, kindness, courage, or truth, I feel comfortable in thinking "there lies god". If you're reading, or seeing, hate, deceit, viciousness, then I'm equally comfortable in saying "there's some man-made crap", at least when we're not being very godly.

Good thread, Trainer, I plan on going back through it post to post. Be well.

I am a very devoted believer in Christ. I have felt the energy of the Holy spirit and have faith in Gods plain of loving even if it hurts. U wonder where you got confused SLT, was I not clear in the collection of my post in where my faith lays. When I was hesitant before about christans that was just explaining that in other parts of my life I preached and beieved differently. Forgive me for not spelling it out for you, thats what happens when I assume.

AcademyForSlaves -> RE: "Christian" BDSM? (11/24/2006 8:47:12 PM)

If you read the bible (which men wrote hundreds of years after Christ Jesus's death and into the development of Christianity) it actually includes slavery in it's preachings. There are chapter verses which state-

Obey your master (or mistress) as you would God

All men must rest on Sundays, including slaves

etc.

More on this is posted on GoddessClub.com in the Spirituality Articles.

MzMia -> RE: "Christian" BDSM? (11/24/2006 9:03:06 PM)

Everyone is different and everyone lives this lifestyle a different way.
I happen to love the Lord, and I did not decide to turn my back on GOD,
because I embrace certain aspects of this lifestyle.
I also do not feel I have to defend my views or my values.
I will say this, no one is in a position to judge any one else here.
If Christianity is NOT for you, so be it.
I don't judge devil worshippers and the like, so lets just agree to live and let live.
There is a much higher judge than man, and we all will answer to him.
Namaste

Nope not confused at all. They were your posts. Thanks!

Yes but can best bet that the slavery mentioned was far from consensual  LOL

I am a Christian.[:)] and I just follow the belief that the man is head of household..and women should listen and respect their man and care for their children....just old fashioned beliefs..nothing wrong with that.

Amen. Although do you find yourself to be in the minority where you live? or are there a few more that think like you. I belong to a group where I live that uses the outline from ths book "Fascinating Womanhood" but they do not know about my kinky inclusions and sexual picadilos.

That's not really a Christian view but instead just a traditional patriarchical view.

There are many, many Christians who don't believe this at all.

BDSM05478 -> RE: "Christian" BDSM? (11/25/2006 5:02:27 PM)

There are many Christans that don't believe in the Trinity either....but that isn't for me to judge. Actually by the old testament ALL woman should have their heads covered, including christan woman since we too include the Torah in our books, do I ......umm no. People pick and choice what to follow in all faiths, it doesn't change what was origainally written.

Also I think alot of nilla couple might be alot happier if they just picked one person to be in charge, or delegated their repsonsiblities better between the two based on natural energy or abilities.

mnottertail -> RE: "Christian" BDSM? (11/25/2006 7:11:24 PM)

Even Goreans believe in Blowjobs............

You gotta have faith.

JerseyKrissi72 -> RE: "Christian" BDSM? (11/25/2006 9:31:51 PM)

Well, I'm a Christian and every night before I lay my head to sleep I ask God to forgive me of all my sins which I am sure are too many to count...Noone is perfect, I never claim to be...just live my life the best way I can.....and leave the rest in His hands.
