Yup..and these same Pro-lifers are PRO DEATH when it come time for the government to decide who should live or die in criminal cases. [8|][8|][8|][8|] Yet it is the left that supports unfettered abortion, euthenasia, embryonic stem cell research, but takes to the street protesting to save Tookie's life because he wrote a book saying that kids should avoid gang life. But did Tookie ever apologize for killing 4 people, including shooting - execution style - a 70 y/o women in the back of the head for $120? At least Tookie got a trial... Hello A/all, You make the statement that Tookie never apologized. My whole take on apologizing is that saying "Gee, I am sorry" are just words. Empty words. Meaningless words from a lot of people. What you find with many people is that they do a certain behavior, get caught, say "I am sorry", everybody lets them off the hook, and they go back to doing the same behavior. This is not an apology, in my book. Tookie may never have said he was sorry. But what he did do was take whatever life he had left to him by the courts and use it to try to pay back society for the crimes he committed in his youth. To me, that shows a much higher level of contrition for one's misdeeds than words. The problem I have with the death penalty has been stated elsewhere. If I were elected Governator I would have commuted his sentence to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Killing him simply brings the rest of us down to his level, which I object to. Just me, could be wrong, but there you go. Sinergy
