Jessica,
Being a single submissive myself, with no Dominant in my life, many of my submissive tendencies/desires are unfulfilled. This doesn't make me less submissive, nor does the fact that you're experiencing something beyond your control that limits your abilities to perform in the submissive manner you'd like.
Please try concentrate less on on how your battle will limit you, and more on winning the battle in general.
I'm adding my prayers and sending positive healing thoughts your way. Take strength from those who offer it, and please disregard any fools who who drain the positive energy from you.
And never give up being who you are.
