It would depend on the situation that took place in order for me to forgive.

I am a forgiving person, I just do not have the energy it takes to stay angry, bitter or hateful

I do have a temper, but I get past things quickly. I believe forgiving people have better lives.

I am forgiving.  I don't hold onto things for long at all.  It's just not worth it.  Besides, we're all human and all in need of forgiveness because we all fuck up along the way no matter how hard we may try not to.

I generally am a happy person, so yes, It's pretty easy for me to forgive someone. I have found that it just takes too much energy to keep carrying a grudge.

Yeah, I get over things pretty quick.  Its hard for me to get mad in the first place, and then when I do get mad, it usually doesn't last long.  I'm easily hurt, and  can often feel slighted, though.  But, even then, I usually don't hold it against the person if a) I overreacted or b) they stop doing whatever it was that they were doing that made me feel that way.

No.
The person I hold most responsible for creating the reason to "forgive" is me. And I NEVER forgive myself for being stupid enough to be put in a position to have to "forgive". Therefore I trust until proven stupid, then I don't forgive; I forget. I leave the 'getting even' part to contracted 'associates'.

LOL.
That actually is a very good point, and one that I have never really thought about before.

I forgive someone if there is an honest mistake made.  Since I have made a few myself, I dont hold anyone else to a higher level than I can attain.
However, I wil not forgive something done maliciously. Even if they are truly sorry fr having done it, the alicious streak is there and it is not one I care to deal with.

Depends on what was done. If a break of trust happened, probably not so much. Or if someone close to me was hurt, I tend to be vengeful.

no, there are very few things that i allow to upset me; but if you cross the line, it take much time and sincerity to get off of my shitlist... and as i don't forget and allow the offense to color the way i ever see that person, i can't say that i ever really forgive

I forgive everyone. That way I don't need to carry them around in my head. Its crowded enough in here already without carrying unnecessary baggage and letting people that have hurt me further affect my life.

Edit: Forgiving does not mean that I still need to have them near me, however.

I think this states my point of view quite well. Just better than I would have.

One should always forgive one's enemies.  But, not before they're hanged.

I can forgive just about anything and I can understand even more, but I will have my vengence regardless of the prior.
