ORIGINAL: littleone86 In september, i have the chance of going to the US for a couple of months to study. I have a choice of a few uni's, and I was wondering which of these states you good people think are worth a visit? My choices are: -North Carolina -Indiana -Ohio -Virginia -California -Maine -Oregon Hi Littleone.... As a native Californian who now lives in the great state of Oregon, I would tell you that unless you are really into outdoor activities {ski, kayak, climb, bike, hike, etc} I'd stay away from Oregon in November /Dec. Depending upon what part of the state you are in.....it's likely to be either cold or very wet, and many times both. Oregon is truly an ‘’outdoors’’ state. And don't get me wrong.....Cali is great, but if you are going there to study it's an especially easy place to become distracted because the weather is nice and there’s always alot to do. I like the rich history /traditions of east coast academia, so if I was in your shoes I'd be thinking about places like Chapel Hill. Best wishes to you. - R
