strange you mention this specific punishment, because this is probably the worst physical punishment my Master will subject me to...for really really bad infractions only, as being bound and then left alone is something my childhood abuser often did to me and so it always places me in a very bad state emotionally and mentally. many Masters would view this as a minefield never to be touched, however Daddy takes his knowledge of my past, baggage, issues, etc., and uses them as additional tools in his toolbox of Dominance and control.
the first time he did this, he left me bound, gagged and blindfolded in a hotel room for maybe an hour in reality, but it felt like a full day to me. i went through the whole emotional gamut...paralyzing fear, anger, frustration, and towards the end sort of catatonic state where i ceased to feel or care at all, barely breathing due to the gag deep in my throat that only i managed to further enlodge due to my previous screaming....positive that my Master had left me for good, and that my dead body would be found in the morning sometime by housekeeping. when he finally came back, i was so genuinely shocked and confused that i wasn't able to "come back" to him emotionally for a few days.
take a slave's greatest fear, mix it with some painful trauma from the past, and you have potentially the best possible punishment, for those who wish to avoid punishment in the first place.
