DiurnalVampire -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/5/2006 11:11:29 PM)

You credit a woman of gor for having nads.  *scratches head*

When someone questions our right to post where we wish, regardless of what their beliefs are, we are going to challenge them. I personally dont care if your a cheuvanist who doesnt think women have any place posting on a Masters board, or if your a Gorean who doesnt believe a woman can be a Master...
If you have issue with my posting here, thats my chalenge.  I post where I want, when I want.  And as far as I am concerned, anyone not wanting to read my input is welcome to skip over it.  If it insults someone that I post in a  Masters forum, then by all means, dont read what I have to say.  Tis your choice.

Lordandmaster -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/5/2006 11:14:55 PM)

Umm...I know this wasn't directed at me, but I have to comment anyway.

People, women have gonads too.  Men's gonads are their testicles, women's gonads their ovaries.  Saying that women have gonads is about as silly as saying that they have pancreases, but it's not INCORRECT.

No, its not incorrect, but its not something to give credit for either

I'm a submissive. I'm an owned submissive. I am also his slave. What gives me the right to post in the "Ask a Master" forum?

Why, it's because I have a Master's Degree of course!!!

On paper. Certified and licensed in two states.
I didn't just make this stuff up.

I am often amazed at how simple these answers can be.

Wait.  LaM is Mr. Christie?

Now I'm very confused.

Yours,

benji

Edited to add:  Maybe I should ask a Master about it.  Where's a good forum to post that to?

Zensee -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/7/2006 3:22:26 AM)

I have never understood the need for separate Mistress / Master forums on CM, as many issues around the topic of dominance are gender neutral. Submissives have a single gender neutral forum, why not dominants? Save a bit of duplication at least.

If a question really is gender specific, put that in the thread title.

Z.

MstrssPassion -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/7/2006 6:53:39 AM)

I skimmed through & selected fast reply on the last page.

I have to agree with the comment that was made earlier in this thread, it is obvious that this post was placed here to stir up trouble.

It is obvious that you Another, didn't honestly have a question as to why women post here... regardless as to who answered the question. Though you made your post to read like a question, you most likely already had your mind made up before writing. It is also very obvious that you hold a considerable contempt for dominant women in general.

quote:

Greetings All,

I had never looked in this section of the boards, for one thing I am not a man, nor am I a slave.  So this section really didn't hold any interest to me.  But a friend of mine, a Gorean man, asked me to peruse some of the posts.   So I did, and as he had told me, many posts were done by women, supposedly "Dommes".   My question is this, why?  Why would a self proclaimed Domme answer in a section called, "Ask a Master" ?  Isn't this a section for MEN and slaves/subs?

I wish you all well.

Another

Self- proclaimed & supposed, hmmmm... well I am neither, I simply am.

Though I recognized my natural leanings of being dominant from an early age, when I came into this (at that time it was called the leather lifestyle/the scene) I had to prove my honor, integrity/accountability & gain the respect of others just like any man entering would have to do. Gender didn't pigeonhole me into one role or the other & I definitely didn't have to gain permission from anyone to be the dominant that I am. From what I have learned about the gorean free, a free has to be granted permission to be free & at any time a gorean man wished he could take that away from a free. Doesn't do much to build one's confidence of being treated as an equal.

At a later point it is brought up that the OP didn't address the subs who were replying:

quote:

Greetings julie,

My original question was not directed at submissives.

Be well,

Another

You have contradicted your own predisposed belief of what this forum is all about. In your OP you reveal that you believe this to be a forum for male masters & their sub/slaves, so with that said, since you see this as a forum for male masters & their sub/slaves, why were you so quick to shut down the reply from one who you believe this forum to be designed for? Strategic attacks require great planning & you lack the proper intel to effectively commit your agenda. You never acknowledged the answer received from the men & only made comment to the women who replied with a very unbecoming splutter that made derogatory reference to their womanliness. Yet one more indication of your intolerance & wish to disregard a feminine presence as being a master.

Another, you've asked questions but you weren't seeking answers... this is why you found less than fond replies. It is obvious that you are not content with the attention you find in your own realm & now you wish to seek it out in places where you simply do not & most likely will never fit in. Coming into areas where gender doesn't define a person's role & one doesn't need to be permitted to be who they naturally are doesn't work well within the confines of your specific reasoning, so don't go forcing your understandings in areas where it is not common practice... why not do what those on the gorean board so often say... do not come into our world looking to pick a fight or disrespect our practices. It would be best to follow this same rule when traveling outside of the defined gorean areas... or is common courtesy not one of your practices? Or maybe those with such a narrow parameter some have run out of things to discuss so they venture out here seeking some intellectual discourse or just wish to stir up drama to spice up their otherwise dull day? At any rate, It is sad that you have not found solid ground in your granted dominance & in your attempt to raise above another you've made a choice to undermine the women who do have confidence in theirs. Those with lofty ideals often fall & find themselves face down in the mud.

ps... I'm curious, why have you ignored the gorean boards? Only one post wishing someone a happy birthday... guess things are slower over there than I imagined.

kc692 -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/7/2006 9:22:18 AM)

I realize this is page 6 and I only read page 1, so this question might have been asked already of the OP.  Why did you feel it necessary to post in the ask a master column?  If you were seeking answers from the dommes, why not have asked this in the ask a mistress column?  After all, most of the dommes that post here, (and quite a few of the male and female subs, and also the male dominants) post on that forum also.  I think juliaoceania's question was a good one, why do you have trouble with the concept of women posting in a "man's" forum?
Here is another question for you: Do you have a problem with the "masters" in the ask a mistress column or do you? What about the submissives/slaves that post in both columns?

LaTigresse -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/7/2006 9:36:33 AM)

I would have said what she said (MistrssPassion) only she said it better and, first.

MstrssPassion -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/7/2006 10:12:13 AM)

feeble attempts to establish discontent within favoring ranks works out quite like setting up dominos... one poorly placed block & the line crumbles... but it sure makes for a spectacular show

I believe that the male & female dominants of these boards have a great rapport with one another... & iffin we need to engage in pissing contests we already know what them fightin' words are. [;)]

kc692 -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/7/2006 10:16:17 AM)

**has a thought that maybe this would be a good question in the gor forum; "Why do those that adhere to gor beliefs post outside the gor column but don't expect to be questioned if they choose to post outside of the gorean column"?

Hmmmm, maybe I should post that question in the gor forum.......is it allowed I wonder?

Added to this thread in case its not obvious;  noone should question a gor believer for posting outside of the gor forum any more than others should be questioned for posting here, after all the OP is not a master, and had the nerve to not only reply to a thread, she had the gall to start one  (removes tongue from cheek)

Actually it is specific.  One can read all of the forums as a guest except the Gorean forum.  You must be logged in to read there.

MstrssPassion -> RE: Ask a Master...isn't that a man? (11/7/2006 10:43:59 AM)

I guess since the site owners added the forum after they had already established these boards as a whole.... a different code was used when the gorean forum was created.

Or is it a conspiracy [sm=idea.gif]

It's because they discuss all kinds of secretive, hush hush, "Hail Grand Poobah" things...I think.  I've never actually ventured into there.
I'm not one for protocal.

edited to add...IT WAS A JOKE  (the disclaimer is so I don't get flamed.  I'm in no mood for that today.)
