If a man requests to be on the receiving end of anal play (fingers and/or objects up the ass), do you view him as being less masculine, or perhaps suspect that he's been lying to you about his sexual orientation? This is actually more of a sensitive, personal issue that I had with an ex..............so I decided to throw it out in front of the general public on a free BDSM forum.

No.

I consider that he desires a fuller range of sexual sensations and experiences. And I applaud him for that.

Was he skeptical when you explained to him that you really weren't gay?

empresschaos -> RE: Anal Play and Masculinity (A Question to Women) (11/6/2006 4:21:40 PM)

Nope. I LOVE strapping it on. And I wouldn't give a good goddamn if he was gay. [:D] But that's just my sissy-lover talking...

I used to teach tantra, and do tantra sessions--including prostate massage in some--and the number of straight males who go gaga over anal stimulation is astounding. Strap-ons weren't really relevant for what I was doing... we were working on prolonging orgasms, not pegging, but I was very, very surprised at the number of times it was requested!

diamonddreamlove -> RE: Anal Play and Masculinity (A Question to Women) (11/6/2006 5:11:12 PM)

I have no reason but to believe He asks because He enjoys it.  I also believe that is exactly what part of what we do is enjoy ourselves sexually so if He wants it He gets it.  Smiling although i have long nails and doubt they would be much fun there are certainly other things that can be used to create lots of enjoyment for the Dom that has the courage to be Himself.

prettiekitten -> RE: Anal Play and Masculinity (A Question to Women) (11/6/2006 5:25:32 PM)

I wouldn't consider him gay, but to be honest, the attraction would be lost. I associate anal penetration with submission, and that is not a quality I find attractive in men.

Slipstreme -> RE: Anal Play and Masculinity (A Question to Women) (11/6/2006 5:26:54 PM)

Simply put, no. I personally don't see any reason not to use an organ from which you derive pleasure from, irregardless of social norms.

One of my favourite activities is anal play - pegging, plugging, and fisting. :D Not only does it not make my boys gay, but it just so happens that one very famous gay man, Dan Savage, DOESN'T enjoy anal sex. Does that mean he's straight? His partner may take issue with that.

Just a man who knows what he wants. And knows how good it feels :)

TemptingNviceSub -> RE: Anal Play and Masculinity (A Question to Women) (11/6/2006 6:35:41 PM)

I would not think he was gay....as many have already said, anatomically a smart woman knows there are many nerve endings there that engender a very explosive response....so why deprive us poor wee women of such a sight!..[;)]...Tempting

No, strapon play does not make a guy gay.

Everyone's got a right to their own opinion.  Of course, in all sincerity I would bring to you the following questions.
I would have to ask you "how does exploring an area full of nerve endings that ends up with your dominant grabbing your hair and telling you to "keep going" equate to an indication of submission"?
If a submissive is so good at a blowjob that the dominant feels his knees giving way and he damn near ends up on the floor in front of his submissive, does that indicate submission?
Is it really true that you have to be submissive to enjoy having "holes plugged"?
If it is true, does that make those of us dominants, male or female, who enjoy having our holes stimulated, submissive now?  Or is there a breed of dominant who, because he does not like having his backdoor opened, is a **** true dominant?

Aren't opinions great!?!?!  To me, anal penetration is a form of punishment. It represents a violation of an area that is not supposed to be penetrated (it can and usually does cause tearing and permanent damage). While most of us enjoy it, I cannot fathom putting anything huge up a man's ass and still maintaining my respect for him. There are, however, other ways in which to stimulate those nerves on a man (licking) that are not invasive, and, in my eyes, not as submissive.

TheLadyIsaTramp -> RE: Anal Play and Masculinity (A Question to Women) (11/6/2006 7:52:55 PM)

To agree with the majority, HELL NO it doesn't make a man gay.

Yes, it is how gay men have sex....because it's a SEX ACT. Its not strictly gay by ANY means.

check out www.aneros.com. Those prostate stimulator toys give men THE BEST prostate orgasm they will ever experience, and when combining it with the ejaculation orgasm, its positively mindblowing. I'm kinda jealous, my g-spot isn't that predictable ;)

If a man is ever with a woman who will not participate in anal penetration because she thinks it's gay, personally, I would deny ever touching HER G-spot or something.

I've also had a few male friends who are all stigmatized with the whole ridiculous "thats gay" crapola....it took quite awhile, some links, some scientific "it feels great and heres why" and I even got one to buy the freakin Aneros and he recommended it to his friends :P

Falcon53 -> RE: Anal Play and Masculinity (A Question to Women) (11/7/2006 12:36:30 AM)

There is still one other option I did not see discussed.

If a male is not Gay, yet he is submissive, his Misstress may wish to refuse him the pleasure of cuming.
This is done by massaging the prostrate & causing the prostrate to be emptied. In this way a male can be stoped from having an orgasm completely, but it does require keeping the prostrate empty.

I never thought of it as less masculine.  Its a different sensation, and one that most guys might like if they were brave enough to admit they were curious.  If a guy likes to be played with ONLY by women, then he isnt gay.  No matter what he decides to stick where, he isnt sexually attracted to men.
I dont find it necessarily submissive either, no moreso than I find anal sex for a woman to be a submissive gesture. Its all about the sensations, and if you enjoy how it feels, then you should be comfortable enough to go for it.

like most here .. I find sexually aware and adventurous people sexy .... how something is done .... and by whom  and the intent behind it has more bearing on sexuality leanings ... eg gay... submissive .. dominant etc ... than what is done ...

*warm smile* ... and I am all for people expanding their sexual and pleasurable  horizens
