Here's a question for those actively seeking a partner. Is there a reason you would delete an e-mail unread from someone you haven't corresponded with previously? I don't get inundated with unsolicited e-mails as some of you females do so I'm certain there are differing perspectives on the matter.

I would think there are a lot of reasons. They looked at the profile of the person who sent the email and either decided the person lives too far away, or just not compatable from what their profiles says. Granted, they havent opened the email to see if it's just to say and, maybe offer advice, or make a friend, but those are just my guesses to some reasons.

iwillserveu -> RE: Deleted unread (2/4/2005 1:22:31 PM)

I can answer from a perspective of a sub male confused with sub females before this site differentiated. At first it was funny, but the Doms who clearly thought I was female started to really piss me off. I imagine that many submissive females felt the same. The second time SirMasterMaster or some idiot wrote me I did not bother opening it to tell him, "I'm a guy you moron." (Before the the politically correct cop tells me I'm not considering the homosexual perspective, telling me my pussy will be wet gets old quick.[:)])

RealityFix -> RE: Deleted unread (2/4/2005 4:39:37 PM)

Iv'e deleted mail unread on other servers after some asshole decided to diss me in private, rather than in the forums.

Deleting this sort of crap lets them know they wasted thier efforts to rent space in your head.

bumblebee -> RE: Deleted unread (2/4/2005 6:41:34 PM)

I wouldn't do this myself but if someone is here solely for the purpose of finding a partner then I guess they might delete anyone obviously not compatible. Or as was mentioned above if they looked at the profile and saw something they really really didn't like that might do it too. This seems like something someone would do only if they were getting a lot of mail though. It would make it more tempting to go into a deleting frenzy.

Moleculor -> RE: Deleted unread (2/5/2005 7:36:30 AM)

Here's a curious question: How does the deleted email show up on the Sent Mail page? Does it literally say "Deleted Unread" or something?

stef -> RE: Deleted unread (2/5/2005 8:33:58 AM)

Yup.

Good to know she just vanished or something, and didn't start deleting my emails. I suppose. Heh. Thanks.

ModeratorThree -> RE: Deleted unread (2/5/2005 6:52:14 PM)

If the account name is the color black and you see deleted unread, that typically means they no longer have an account. And when the account goes, so does the mail. And it will say deleted unread. Now if the name has not turned black then if could be for one or more of the reasons already cited.

Hope that helps!

terah -> RE: Deleted unread (2/6/2005 5:18:56 AM)

I have deleted unread mail if the person who's contacted me has been insulting before or their profile doesn't even come close to what i consider to be desirable. I would hope the deletion would give them a clue never to contact me. and sometime i am just a bitch and don't care..LOL sorry but that is the truth.

quietkitten -> RE: Deleted unread (2/6/2005 8:28:29 PM)

I deleted a message a while ago because I realized how utterly stupid it sounded!

fire2heart -> RE: Deleted unread (2/8/2005 11:42:16 AM)

If they have only a picture of their private parts, I'll delete it in a heart beat, if there profile is one of a player or wannabe, it's gone, unless the switch in me wants to play with their heads[:D]

Alexander -> RE: Deleted unread (2/9/2005 1:36:13 PM)

I only have a few days experience with collarme and I will tell you there is at least one girl on here who is so tempting yet has a master, I might delete mail from her just to avoid the temptation and eventual gun battle.

Or maybe not.

Alex.

safora -> RE: Deleted unread (2/10/2005 4:30:11 PM)

I have to admit that I've done it before. On a couple of occasions when I got hopelessly behind on my emails, or more frequently when somebody had a really horrible screen name (as mentioned above).

Tangwystal -> RE: Deleted unread (2/10/2005 8:55:40 PM)

[:)]

Some of those screen names are *really* atrocious, aren't they??

mnottertail -> RE: Deleted unread (2/11/2005 3:40:31 PM)

well now if you go to the mail controls at the top of your mailbox and block some class of people, won't that show up as delete unread? By example, my advice to many lesbians on this site is to do just that....saves alotta click click click.........

NoPinkBalloons -> RE: Deleted unread (2/11/2005 7:06:49 PM)

Worst one I've seen: DomCock4U2Obey (on alt)

I mean, get serious! First of all, I've yet to see a dominant cock. Those projectiles do whatever the hell I want them to do, with very little effort. Dominant? Yeah, right.

And who's gonna obey a cock? When did they get voices and start issuing orders? Maybe I'm missing out on all the dominant speaking cocks, cuz I"m too busy laughing at the names.

I've actually talked to the guy about how ridiculous the nick is, and he doesn't see it at all. He figures bdsm is all about his dick, and since he wants it his way that means everyone should obey his dick. *shrug* I guess it takes all kinds.

BlouLady -> RE: Deleted unread (2/12/2005 12:40:41 AM)

I have deleted a few myself, not to be mean but to avoid that very thing. It's hard for me to tell someone no as I am naturally friendly and sometimes they won't or can't except that anwser. Not only that but When I feel as though I'm expected to IMMEDIATLY get turned on and obey thier every order well then I'd never have time to myself and would never be able to enjoy it.Hope that helps...Lady

terah -> RE: Deleted unread (2/12/2005 4:40:24 PM)
