I can’t believe I forgot to post this here. I thought I did? I even added part, hmmm.

Notes on EMG:

I also had blood drawn. It is good I heal almost as fast as Wolverine, since squirting blood on everyone as I flopped around from the shock would probably affect the jovial mood.

When you get shocked you try to stay still. It’s be nice if the trainee tied me down, but nooo...

The Doctor was training a technician. The doctor was male, the trainee was female. I said it was good she was there as I would not scream in front of a girl.

I forget the term but he said she was admiring my amplitude. I said I’d use that as new pick up line. (“Hey Baby, I got a good amplitude.”

)

It was going well until the part where the measure a shock on your head from sensors on your foot. (The readings for this on my arm was OK, and so was the shock at the back of my neck and on my lower back.) Apparently my skull is too thick.

Seriously, hearing the Doctors talking just outside the door about whether to shock me some more was not fun.

Speaking of fun, that was the fun part. (Yeah, I know some people think the fun part is coming.

) The sensors and shocking thing was a lot kinder than the needle. Only three times in the leg and arm. (The needle is not bad until you have to flex the muscle it is in.)

Then the scary part. The neck right under the chin (so they can get the tongue muscle.) Add fear to pain. (It admittedly was an irrational fear of having a needle in my fricken neck.

) Fortunately the readings were OK from my neck/jaw and they did not need to do it again.

Now for another MRI. I hope it is a female technician straps me to the table and who tells me to remove all metal since it is a big magnet. BTW, where can I get iron pants?

My insurance covers all this? I normally would pay 200 bucks to get it done right.

hmmm a Nerve Conduction Study ?

And just whats wrong iwill??

Sciatic Nerve problems, Carpal Tunnel ,Cervical or
Lumbo-Sacral root lesions, any compression vs
entrapment neuropathy?disease ?
peripheral neuropathic problems?

and how does EMG associate with BDSM for you?

do you get off on nerve conductions? or just finding
out whats wrong? I hope the test found what you were
seeking.

They don't know why I talk and walk like I'm drunk. An EMG is like (well almost) a violet wand, but different. Just like being straped to a table and having smothing over your head can be a scene with a hood or an MRI.

i have had a couple of EMGs.... i always called it the "cattle prod test". Imagine my surprise when some wonderful Dom used a cattle prod on me, and i saw that the devices looked exactly alike!

I had one of those for siatic nerve problems in my right hip and traveling down my right leg. I thought the doctor was going to have to peel me off the ceiling. It hurt. A lot.

This post brings back bad memories.I had one of those done last year & it was one of the nastiest things I've ever had done to me and I didn't have to get the needle version,which I've given many thanks for. The worst part was when I felt the shock & my leg just laid(?) there, then they kept putting the voltage higher until it finally jumped. They did this test with me having a severe migraine headache at the same time, by the time I was finished they had to give me a shot of morphine to get the edge of the pain off. I do have to admit that having the singletail whip used on me feels about the same as far as pain goes but it's never done as long as that test.
