Please, Do not turn this into a place to flame  other members .
You dont have to say who you voted for..
(I know..I'm a  party pooper here...lol)
But I am just really curious how many of the members here are really
activlly trying to make a change in their/our world.
And no, let's not  turn it into a discussion on whether your vote counts.
Just sign in if you've voted ,ok?
But..it is  a free country..heck..speak your piece if you must..(hope that reads "peace"
to most)
just sayin'

I think everyone should honor the OP's request and follow the Emperor's advice [;)]

Really?  So tell Me, how corrupt is John McCain?  I bet he made up that Vietnam Tiger Cage stuff (oh, wait....you don't even know what I'm talking about, do you?)  And Barak Obama...what a poseur.  Lets see... should we talk history?  That corrupt Tom Jefferson.  That crooked Abe Lincoln.   That twisted Ben Frank...well...OK, I'll give you that one. *GRIN*

New Jersey is the most corrupt state in the country.

Justheather:  Really? I could have sworn it was a neck and neck race between Louisiana and Rhode Island.

Oh Pul-leeze.  I heard a great statistic today.  Only 3 of Illinois governors in the past 50 years were NOT indicted.

I'm from Chicago.  I voted.  Twice.

I grew up outside of Chicago during the Richard Daly (dad) era.  Vote early, vote often, and being dead is no excuse for not going to the polls.

I voted, Libertarian as I have for the last 20 years.  Some say my vote doesn't count if I don;t vote either Dem or Rep, but I say my vote counts to ME.  I vote what I believe, and not for the lesser of two evils.

Your vote counts, absolutely.

And the media, and personal observation, and knowing the history behind the issues...

Exactly, there are many ways to gather the facts. Just have to get off your lazy ass and do it.

i think that is the problem right there, they are too busy on CM pissing and moaning about how awful life is. i think it is interesting that neither of them mention any of the issues on the ballot. Only the people running. Maybe they don't realize you vote on more than people on election day.

Well, as it was pointed out before, if they followed the OP's direction, then only people who had voted would be posting.

Sorry that I was too busy grieving the loss of my Master to worry myself about who to go vote for...I have been online alot, yes, working on a memorial site for my late Master as well as receive much needed counseling from some good people..My Master was my soul mate and when he passed away I lost a piece of my heart..I lost interest in many things....If I were to vote it would have been Democrat anyhow so I won without even having to vote...[:D]

No matter who you vote for, the government gets in.

Sadly, this is all too common. Americans have, by in large, become too uneducated and apathetic to participate in something that people in many other countries would risk dying for the right to do. It is pathetic and frightening. Far more so that any threat of illegal aliens taking all those low paying jobs.

HollyS -> RE: Have you voted today? After you have please check in here. (11/8/2006 8:02:05 AM)

In the spirit of encouraging democracy, I voted too.  Only in my precinct, though being a member of the Greater Chicagoland Citystate entitles me to have opinions in two states and multiple districts besides just mine.  Waking up this morning I find that most of the Indiana races ended as expected, though Donnelly beat Chocola (bit of a shock, that one).  And, no surprise, the race for Cook County (IL) board president is in total chaos.  What was that about a well-oiled machine...?

sorry bud...but you're a big 0 .... If you don't vote...you don't count.

I calls em as I sees em.....

i've noticed that, even though JerseyKrissi72 also post pretty much the same thing i did, i'm the one on the chopping block...curious how that is

I apologize....I missed her post but read the entire thread over again and will add her to the O list.....
Nothing against you and Jersey personally but if you're gonna talk about politics and you choose not to vote then you just don't count in my book.....

I don't love you or hate you....you don't count is all. It's obvious you don't give a damn about politics but yet still benefit from being an American.....so sad. If you've ever been on welfare I have paid your bills. This country sure does stink...doesn't it?

Actually, and I am not trying to be mean here at all, but in my opinion there is a reason we were given brains. To USE THEM to make good........or in many cases..........bad decisions. So, I have to disagree. God does not make the decision. God gave us a brain and is now sitting back wondering........"why did I bother?"

well, with that said...remember this: it's all about Mind over Matter...we don't mind...because you don't matter
