Please, Do not turn this into a place to flame  other members .
You dont have to say who you voted for..
(I know..I'm a  party pooper here...lol)
But I am just really curious how many of the members here are really
activlly trying to make a change in their/our world.
And no, let's not  turn it into a discussion on whether your vote counts.
Just sign in if you've voted ,ok?
But..it is  a free country..heck..speak your piece if you must..(hope that reads "peace"
to most)
just sayin'

I voted, beth voted, my son voted. We made a lunch date to do so.

My son just turned 19 and this was his first opportunity to vote. I made a big deal about it.

PS - Although she asked, I didn't use beth as a second opportunity to place a 2nd ballot. However, I did tell my son that he should vote no for all the referendums that would raise taxes.

SissySean -> RE: Have you voted today? After you have please check in here. (11/7/2006 2:06:30 PM)

Of course you didn't, it would have required that you make an effort at something and we all know that'll never happen.

Thanks for being part of the problem.

That's right, Michael...sit and curse the darkness. It's always been an effective method for creating change in the world.

michaelOfGeorgia -> RE: Have you voted today? After you have please check in here. (11/7/2006 2:37:34 PM)

there's no changing this place since it's all rigged anyway...they're (the politicians) are only in it for personal financial gain...been that way for centuries. not likely to change on my account.

The things that you are proud of just amaze me.

Michael, Im frustrated too. Truly, I hear you.
I just dont think that sitting out of the process is the answer.

MistressGayle -> RE: Have you voted today? After you have please check in here. (11/7/2006 2:56:07 PM)

I voted.  Too many people died to make it so that we can ALL have the privilege of voting. WE certainly didn't earn the right! Praise GOD that you live in a country where you GET TO VOTE! Don't waste it. Get off your ass and vote, or stop whining and exit the discussion.

michaelOfGeorgia -> RE: Have you voted today? After you have please check in here. (11/7/2006 2:57:06 PM)

i registered to vote twice in my life, and the two candidates i planned on voting for dropped out of the race before election day...from that point on i vowed never again.
