Thanks, budderflywings. I'll have to try that and see if it's a better partial fix than my current partial fix.

As you may recall, I finally loaded Firefox successfully, and it does open up the CM homepage. However, I see a much more basic page. It sort of reminds me of being in the "safe mode." I can send short notes from the short profile pages, but without any options for text choices, size, or colors. I cannot send messages from the full profile pages at all.

Also, I cannot post or reply here on the forums while using Firefox. To do that, I have to switch back over to Internet Explorer.

well i am not going to read 7 pages of threads but you may just want to pick up a copy of windows 2000, got a friend?

After reading your post out of curiosity i fired up are you ready for this?  one of my programming puters that is a:

Pentium 133
49meg of ram
2 gig hd
and a cheap jaton 256 meg pci video card
running windows 2000 workstation OS

talk about bear skins and bone knives LOL

using internet explorer it brought in cm slower than crapola but just fine, then i sent a message with it just fine as well...

So if ya got a friend get a copy of w2k and put it on and i would bet problem solved for some time to come...

ms and most companies no longer support w98.

Well, after I got my laptop back up, still wtih Windows XP, now access both sides with no problem. I have no idea what the problem was, but glad it's gone!!!
