I would pressure congress to institue a new gas tax.

$10.00 per gallon of non-commercial use fuel.  I would give a full 50% of that new tax directly to the oil companies as "shut-up" money and to stave off a sudden economic crisis.

The other 50% would go IMMEDIATELY and entirely for research and implementation of non-fossile fuel energy sources like Geothermal, solar, wind, vegetable based fuels etc.  Once impleneted ....

I would call all US troops home and tell the rest of the world to EAT their F*CKING OIL!!!!

Sure, the $10 would SUCK a LOT for people in the short temr ... but man, THEN we woudl start to conserve, ride-share, and get creative with our consumption.  Would get us off fossile fuels, start to clean up the environment little by little, and take a lot of traffic off the roads.

I don't know, I would kinda like to tell my great-great-great grandchildren that I voted for the first gay president (that wasn't republican, because with all the shit going on, who knows, huh?)

but this stand on embellishments has me worried, I got all I can do to fret over entitlements........
