I stand corrected.  Thank you for pointing out my error, you hot little muffin, you.

Well, at least you admit to being a bitch, even if an inbred one.

Not that your opinion of yourself matters much, but it's good that you have my facts straight.

This whole "Your opinion is worthless, and mine counts, so I don't have to listen to you" thing is getting old.

Why don't you just concede that mine are better and scamper along, little girl?

Yours,

benji

MADONNA:  ENCOURAGING WHORISH TEENAGE GIRLS TO MAKE BAD DECISIONS FOR DECADES.

     Exhibit A:  http://youtube.com/watch?v=WSuPAREU8F4

I know that it's from left field.......but it's no wonder that teenagers are screwed up these days.  Look at the shit that their parent's minds were subjected to at that vulnerable age.  Madonna's career was a travesty, despite some catchy pop-music from the cocaine-rife 80's.

Even the video pisses me off.  "Look at me.........I'm a slutty teenage girl that got knocked up by an auto mechanic, but.... "
                           I'm gonna keep my baby.

Papa should have laid off the preachin' and did some yellin' and smackin'.

Once again, we have dumb opinions, even in the musty annals of 80's girl pop.

OK.  It is now my opinion that Tre is really Theresa, a youngish, angst, pimply teen.  Possibly prepubescent.  Completely stuck in the eighties.
She wears leggings and long sweaters.  She draws little hearts on her notebooks with initials in them.  She giggles too.

This opinion has been endorsed by gooddogbenji.  It is now a matter of fact.

When my new facial treatments arrive in the mail, you'll be sorry come prom night, Miss. Claws.

But seriously...........despite the few positive effects of the Madonna-aided sexual liberation of women, what good has the media tart done for anything?  Nowadays, Madonna reminds me of a kooky old vampire that just won't die the good death.

Oh Madonna............you're a little too old and trite to roll around onstage in tawdry wedding dresses anymore.  What are you going to do with yourself, you post-mortem, pseudo-spiritual Yenta?  Sure, I'd let you blow me, attention-hungry little shoat, but you've got to stop reaching for that last dying glimmer of limelight, and accept your fate.

In your youngers days, I could have fallen for you, Madonna Ciccone........but that radiance has been exploited, plundered, and tarnished by your all-encompassing shittiness.  What a sad, sad, sad course of events, my little hothouse orchid, without a life-raft or a pulse.

What makes YOUR opinions more valid than everybody else's two-cents?  Come on................EVERYBODY thinks that they're smarter than the next Joe Shmoe - so now it's your chance to let Mr. John Q. Public know WHY.

There are opinions which are intuitive and there are opinions which are reasoned.

Reasoned opinions are more valid than intuitive opinions even if those opinions happen to be the same. Opinions are nothing more than unproven beliefs, but if your belief is based on objective logic rather than subjective feeling you can make a much stronger case for your opinion.

If I set forth an opinion on any subject, it's going to be because I have formed that opinion based on objective, logical reasoning even though, by definition, the opinion can't be proven as a base truth .. (which would turn it from opinion to fact) and will be able to answer 'why' I've formed that opinion and point to the specific factors which formed the basis of my opinion.

"I'm right, you're wrong because I said so" just doesn't cut it.

"My opinion formed because ABC took place, XYZ is common knowledge and I have personal knowledge of LMNOP" is a much more reasoned, logical response to a question of opinion and, it's my opinion, that such reasoning is more valid as a basis to opine on a given subject rather than a 'feeling'.

My opinions tend to be formed based on reason and logic, hence, they are more more valid than the average Joe Schmoe who bases his opinions on feeling and/or intuition. That said, I also have an amazingly accurate 'gut' instinct, so I have a reasoned and logical basis for my opinions AND the naturally, amazing gut instincts to go along with them. In other words, I am the whole package and as such, everyone should listen to me. Now, because we are speaking of opinions here and not facts, I will not claim to be right 100% of the time, but 99.6% (+/- .03%) should be good enough for anyone.

That, of course, is just my opinion. ::chuckles::

Celeste

And there goes my "GoddessQueenoftheUniverse" theory right out the damned window.

Thank you, for your worthy and relevant contribution to this thread.  I dug it quite a bit.........................and the only thing that could have made it EVEN MORE WORTHY was a Madonna diss.

None of what I wrote applies to GoddessQueenoftheUniverse's of course. You're still good.
