SunshineinVA -> Visting Dom Question (11/20/2006 9:11:44 AM)

When a guy sends an im saying he's visiting from out of town and would like to schedule time (never met this dude before), isn't he treating me like a professional?  Felt creepy and I didn't answer.

diamonddreamlove -> RE: Visting Dom Question (11/20/2006 9:14:17 AM)

Had you talked to him before?  But yep that is how i would take it unless he was just wanting to meet and chat no playing.

Lashra -> RE: Visting Dom Question (11/20/2006 9:15:56 AM)

Schedule time for....what? Sounds to me like he is looking for a hooker and not answering him was probably the best thing you could have done.

Could just be that his terminology sucks, I wouldn't take offense to it just yet. I work in an office environment and there it's not uncommon to ask someone to schedule some time for a meeting or what not. Don't jump the gun, just tell him you're not sure how to take his request and are almost offended at the terms he chose.

SunshineinVA -> RE: Visting Dom Question (11/20/2006 9:18:44 AM)

I read a lot on here about people talking about some guys come on here and claim to be doms or masters but have ulterior motives.  And no, never talked to him/met him before.

This gets my vote for the most reasonable and honest way to respond.

SweetEscravo -> RE: Visting Dom Question (11/20/2006 9:57:45 AM)

I've gotten those emails before and I just don't like them...I feel creeped out when random people want me to go somewhere with them.

popeye1250 -> RE: Visting Dom Question (11/20/2006 10:07:48 AM)

No, I wouldn't do it if I were you.
It's quite another thing if you've talked online for a month and by phone.
Even in that case, public meeting place and no "play" on the first meeting.

I agree. Why not just let him know that you are not understanding his words and can he please expand on them.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Visting Dom Question (11/20/2006 10:12:14 AM)

Id say someone random wanting to meet just becasue they are in your city is a red flag. Especially when they want to schedule "some time" that rings of a fuck em and leave em setup. Likely they will never be returning, and a one night stand sounds appealing. Not safe, on your side, nor on theirs, but they arent considering the safety aspect when they are thinking about other things.

I dont know ta I would even consider asking for an explination of his inspiration behind the request. Since you dont know him, no matter what his reasoning is, its still premature.

I've gotten a number of those emails also Sunshine. They always make me wonder what on earth makes them believe that i would agree to meet some anomynous "domianant"  based strictly on the fact that they are going to be in my area, and that we both happen to members of this site.  No worries though...i do the same with these emails as i do with the 99% of other emails that i get that completely disregard the things stated in my profile.  The delete button  is my friend.  [:)]

good luck

You write this like you have never had it happen to you before.

First of all... be warned, every traveling schmuck coming to your area will hit up the profiles of local ladies.

I usually just ignore these types of emails but when the mood strikes me I fire back a comment such as ... last time I checked Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens & 100's of miles of beautiful beachs are all listed as hot spots & local attractions... I'm not on that list. If you are looking for a thrill try getting your Ya-Ya's in the Wa-Wa at Adventure Island Water Park.

Seeing that you are listed as being in VA & I don't know that area... you'll have to come up with attractions local to you.

SunshineinVA -> RE: Visting Dom Question (11/20/2006 10:18:17 AM)

Hey thanks all.  Seeing him wasn't really on my mind, but was just wondering if anyone else saw it as sounding kinda weird.

popeye1250 -> RE: Visting Dom Question (11/20/2006 10:21:42 AM)

It's not really "wierd" per se,  the guy probably just wants a one night stand.
But, you have to think of your safety too.

Bearlee -> RE: Visting Dom Question (11/20/2006 10:26:33 AM)

Yup, I get a lot of notes like that; I don't respond, either.  Sometimes they wise up, and try again later...and more politely.

I figure the ones that write like that are pretty new and don't have a clue what WIIWD really is all about...  and have the erroneous idea it's all about easy sex.

When I get those emails, I generally respond with a link to the local pro dungeon and they can take it from there.

Most of them dont even bother reading profiles, ether.  I often get offers to have a visitor come out and allow me to sub to them. Well, gee... isnt that sweet of you, to ALLOW a Domme to sub for you just becaue your visiting.
Some of the guys that call themselves Dominant on here are just in it for the kicks, and those are the ones who troll random emails whenever they are going to travel to see if anyone is willng to play along for a day or so. I guess they must get a hit or so somewhere, else they wouldnt be so persistant.

Well this one is more polite then the one i recieved on alt a few months ago. The guy told me what hotel and room he was going to be in and that I would be there at precisely 8:00 pm to serve him. lmao.

I had never talked to him before, and turned my profile off soon after receiving that e-mail.

Guess it takes all kinds. [:D]

I would not have responded to the IM either. If they can't take the time to talk to you before hand then why do they assume you should make time for them just because they are going to be in your area?
