Like anything else about this stuff, aftercare is situition/individual specific. That said, I'd really likely go this route after most intensive percussion work:
Before you cut her (him, whatever) down, make sure you have an aftercare area staked out, and be ready to carry them there if needed, or be able to slide the couch /chair/etc. to a place they can fall into it (ever tried to roll a limp puddle of 6'5" 260lbs of manmeat up onto a couch?)
Once you have then there, gentle words, touches and lots of close contact untill they are at least aware if not coherant. Rehydrate them- even if they resist- I always have bendy straws handy just for this reason. Drink some yourself while you are at it- rule one applies to tops, too<g>.
They are likely to be a bit 'blinky'- sort of vuague and fuzzy- let 'em be for a bit, but stay close- I usually use this time to gather up the implements that are scattered around and toss them back in the bag (or hang them, if I am working from home). Stay close enough to touch- some are fine just grooving on the endophins, some will be big time clingy- a little impersonal hair stroking, and hip to shoulder body contact goes a long way here. It's a good time take questions/compliments for the audience.
Once the subject is surfacing, do what ever first aid is required- for me thats swabbing broken skin with alcohal, a bandaid when called for, a general inspection with mental notes on application ('hhmmm- too much lefty this time- and a little ore flank would have been good...'). If they are alert and sassy already, I'll splash a little cold water on the hot spots, but I'll usually just do a little verbal debriefing, though I'll discount any commentry made before twentyfour hours have elapsed.
Feed her. Something small and filling and yummy- they may not know they are hungry, but the minute the food is there they'll approch it with a certain intensitysomething carbby is good (IMO) to stave off drop. Walk them around a bit- they may have stiffened up, so stay close. Let her socialize if she is so inclined, cuddle, whatever seems to be wanted.
Get her home and showered and to bed- a good hot/cool shower will bloom the marks, but also fade them faster. Sex, but not a lot, and sleep.
Next day, debrief for real- hear what is said! use speech mimicry and active listening to find out what really went on- don't visibly be taking notes, but do at least mentally note what was going on in her head. Don't accept 'it was wonderful.' as commentary- encourage criticism. Plan a lazy day
