Hey all. I'm twenty, and a Master. I can't tell you how many eyebrows that seems to raise on this site, and similar ones on the net. It seems to be quite a contrast, to real life, where I've been able to find slaves with little difficulty. Then again, in real life, the focus seems to be on the relationship, not the nature of it, so I'm wondering if that's the source of the difference. Still, here's what I'm curious about: do slaves expect a Master to be much older? Do subs? What're some thoughts and opinions on this?

Age isn't what matters. It's what you do with what you've got. Besides, if the parties involved in the relationship aren't bothered, then other opinions don't count.

Generally, I prefer younger than me just for the simple fact that I find younger men to be more sexually attractive to me. I find that I tend to view people on an individual basis. You can be twenty and extremely mature and intelligent or forty and childlike. All age gives one is more life experiences. If you aren't able to put to use the teachings of that experience or to seperate the positive from the negative, then that experience becomes pretty useless. Age also has nothing to do with personality compatibility which is important to me after the physical attraction has been established.

I personally have "been there done that" - lol, at 37 I had a couple of 20-something Masters and although I wont say the experience wasnt fun, I have found in my experience that the older Masters usually tend to have more experience, naturally, they are older. But there are also older Doms with little experience. I just want to be with someone who is closer to my age, someone who isnt going to want kids and hopefully someone who can share the same sorts of life experiences as me.

reofbl, I am a 31 year old Dom. I have been in the Lifestyle since I was 19. I understand what you mean about the looks but for ME, once I beat them their perspective changes {wicked grin } The only way that you will "prove" Yourself is to do it and show them You know how to Dominate. They have all their hair and front teeth. Seriously though, I have never understood why so many women go for older men. Statistically speaking, women live longer than men so the opposite would make more sense.

Personally, if Im going to submit to someone, it's most likely going to be someone either older than myself or within a few years younger. But I guess if I were 18 or 20, a 20 year old Master for myself would be fine. Besides physical attractiveness being probably more substantial in younger men and women, I dont see how most 20somethings would have anything in common with, or mesh will with most 40somethings. Im not saying it doesnt happen, Im just saying that I'd be shocked as shit to see some couple where one is 20 and the other is 38-40 still together after a year or so. I think the sexual compatibility and the thrill of being with a younger/older man/woman might be attractive to some people in and of itself, but I dont see longterm being in their future. I think in the case of your hardcore ownership type of relationships, it might work with huge age gaps, but those who are interested in well-rounded long lasting romantic type relationships dont have much hope for long term with huge age gaps. Just my opinion of course. But Id love to hear from a 60 year old who tells me they hooked up with a 20 year old when they were 40 and are still together.

Well considering Thorns is 13 years younger than i am.........i'm thinkin'.......Oh Hell yeah. <eg> I also believe that everyone starts somewhere, and i agree with it's not so much the age factor, it's what you do with that knowledge once you find it......how one handles the responsibility. It's a never ending learning process, growth is essential. It boils down to how you choose to cultivate it. ~smilezz~

My Lord is four years younger than I am. Age has never really been an issue in our D/s dynamic. He takes responsibility for his end of the deal, and follows through. That is more important to me than his number of years on this planet. EDIT: This is Caitriona, logged into the joint account.

I tend to prefer dom's who are my age or a bit younger. What is more important is that our interests mesh and this isn't always age related.

Honestly I dont see age really being a factor, unless the gaps are so huge one appears to be with a parent rather then a partner. At my age if I were to look for older, I'd end up bored to death, it seems many males near my age have chosen to slow down and take life at an easier path. I have much too much energy for that ...

Well, get ready for a shock.....I'm 28 and my lovely wife is 52. We've been together just over 2 years now and plan on staying together for the duration. I'll admit that in the beginning it was mainly sexual, but as time went by, we began to mesh on an intellectual level as well, and then realized we were right for each other. We do have hope for the future. Will you be around in 20 years so she can get back to you when she's 72 and I'm 48 and still kicking together? [;)]

I am a young-at-heart 58 year old submissive woman without a Dominant partner. Sooooooo… I play with others quite often (not sexually). I’ve been topped by men in their early 30s who have far more experience than I do…and were quite strong and comfortable with their dominance. Still, I’d have a hard time considering a teenager or someone in their early 20s a ‘Master’. “Gee, Grasshopper…have you considered WHAT it takes to be a Master?” I don’t know of any famous Masters-of-ANYTHING who considered themselves a Master at such a tender age where time and experience have not yet taken their toll. (And I mean that in a good way; experience is a good thing!) Just my thoughts, beverly
