AAkasha, Sorry about the cliche but birds of a feather flock together. People with "personal" nicknames are going to prefer people with the same sort of nickname. Likewise for people with sexual nicknames. Look at how Dommes with nicknames like "Morrigel" and "TheTammyJo" say that they reply more to mail from guys with normal nicknames. A Domme who chooses a name like "Mistress4tinydicks" is going to be totally besieged by mail from guys with nicknames like "balls4fem2bust" because they'll like someone who has a similar sort of nickname to them.

Just because I make FUN of overly descriptive names in a gag thread doesn't mean I don't politely reply to emails from everyone, because I do. And to be honest, I care a hell of a lot less about the handle than about the approach and the profile--issues which have been discussed elsewhere at length. You're right about one thing, though; there are things a person can do with his/her nick that will get extra attention. People who show a literary bent or a bit of cleverness will get more interest, because I have more reason to think I will enjoy their company when they're NOT wearing a gag.
