A slave to me is one that gives up total control to her Master, has no more safewords because her Master knows her body and mind so well, that including her limits. She never says no, and will do anything for her Master. a slave to me is not an instant position, it comes with time, it develops. She also feels like a slave because she knows herself that whatever is asked of her to do, there is this power in her that doesnt allow her to say no, that whatever He requires, she must do it. If she fails to do it, she feels less of a slave, she has failed.

PERFECT rubyleu....but, is it wrong that i'm totally turned on by reading your description!  lol!

When asked what really gets to Me..really turns Me on, I say a well trained, well mannered slave every time. her description is similiar in the one I share in describing a slave.

sweetnurseBBW -> RE: what is a slave???? (11/26/2006 6:18:32 AM)

I identify as a slave. In the beginning terms were negotiated. When I was collared my limits became his. As you can see everyone has their own definition of a slave. The dynamics are different in each relationship. In my definition as a slave Masters needs come before mine and my obedience is key. I trust him with every aspect of my life, which did not all the sudden happen. This was someting that grew over time. I am not a mindless robot , I do express feelings and concerns.

can't tell you about "a" slave, only this slave, so here goes:

being submissive to Master, and not His slave, would mean waking up in her own bed, in her own house, in which she makes all the decisions...perhaps we would contact one another throughout the day depending on what other responsibilities this slave would have--work, family or socially related activities---or what His schedule would be as well---work, family, social obligations and time with other submissives that He might or might not be in relationship with.  we might make plans around our mutual schedules to meet up at a public dungeon and scene together on the weekends or just enjoy a vanilla outing.

being Master's slave she wakes up next to Him, serves His wish or whim every waking hour, and He calls ALL the shots.

Why wouldn't you live with him if you were a submissive, not a slave?

Aquatic,
Because I would not allow her.

One, of many, distinctions is the requirement of total commitment. I don't represent an lifestyle or "industry" standard for the definition and distinction; I only have a definition of how I wanted to live. The definition meant serving one Master. Defined by serving one household, one job, one boss - Me. It isn't a one sided commitment. I have the corresponding responsibilities.

Are you of the opinion that being submissive precludes one from waking up next to their Master, serving his wish and whim every waking hour and submitting to his complete control as he calls all the shots?

Just kinda wondering, ya know?

raiken,

Thanks for your input and sharing, but does not your description fit more into the skin of a submissive then slave?

While your profile outline says slave, that concept seems to get lost in the narative.

Lady,

thats for your input, but it might be helpful to enlarge on that for the benefit of those that are attempting to place themselves.

Rover,

Well to be honest, I am attempting to keep my opinion out of it so that it does not lapse into a forum for disagreement.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Makes sense but then it doesn't to me. I've noticed that sometimes the only difference between a "slave" and a "submissive" it what they choose to call themselves, or what their master chooses to call them. But it's working for you and that is what matters! [:)]

CelticPrince -> RE: what is a slave???? (11/26/2006 10:56:59 AM)

slavemaia,

Thanks for your thoughts, but it seems that the mere word would define the status of ones beleifs and therein lies the pitfalls.

If a D wanted to search for a slave or vice versa the reality needs will fast come to the forefront.

daddysprop247 -> RE: what is a slave???? (11/26/2006 11:01:45 AM)

i define "slave" pretty much the same way the standard dictionary does: one who is the owned property of another; one who is completely subject to another's will; human chattel, etc.

it's not about having a particular relationship dynamic, it's not even about being submissive. a slave need not be submissive in the least. it is merely about being owned. whatever else is entailed is entirely up to the individual Owner.
