Why are there so many fakes in here? So, far I have communicated with 8 and out of the 8, 7 of the profiles say they are living in the USA, but when you talk with them via e-mail or messanger now they are in Africa... What is up with that! I am new to this site. Are there a lot of these people in here also? Just trying to find the real ones!

Actually, we have seven fakes on this site just so newbies can ask that question.  Most only find four, so I'm pretty impressed with you.

However, I do have to tell you, that 7 fakes out of a few hundred thousand members is a pretty low ratio.

Wow.  This is quite the cutting edge post.  I don't think I've ever seen anything like it on the forums before.   There are fakes on CollarMe?

Well ... while you may have had that experience, I'd advise that you spend some time reading and doing a search for "fakes" before starting a thread on the subject.

Often, such posts don't go the way you'd expect, if you haven't been reading.

Don't sweat it....just be thankful you didn't meet your fakes.  Takes a while to find the right person is all.  When I first joined in July of last year, I didn't think I would find someone in 5 days.  In reality it took me many months.  And I kissed a toad along the way...though my toad was unfortunately all mouth.  Bleh..those darn insects just kept getting in the way.

I've been fortunate never to have been approached by a fake on this site or another that I'm on.  Do you think there is a way to discourage fakes in the way you write your profile?  Curious....
