She told me she was bi before she met me and I told her I was straight. She promised not to come on to me. The subject hasn't come up since.

One of my friends in high school found out I was bi. She ran up to me, yelling at me and accusing me of being her friend just so I could have sex with her. I was standing there thinking "What is the nicest way to tell you I think you are ugly as sin and you have nothing to worry about?"

Women should chill. Your bi friends probably don't think you as as hot as you think you are.

I love that line in the Roseanne episodes where Jackie has been going clubbing etc with Roseannes bi friend, when jackie finds out she freaks and says "we are friends why didnt you tell me?" - the bi woman replies "Friends? I thought we were dating" LOL

She told me she thought I was hot when she saw me on cam before we met. I told her I was straight. She promised to respect that and she has. I never refuse to be friends with someone because of their sexual orientation. How does this make me lacking in common sense?

Fair enough, have to admit it makes me wonder why you felt the need to mention that this woman had promised not to come onto you in the first place, thats almost like you expected other people to think she would, it's more that the factor was brought up in the beginning though it's possible I misread.

I have to admit one thing I have noticed about bisexuals and lesbians and gays also, and it may well be a stereotype but it's just a personal observation, I have noticed that if anything the standards seem to be higher when it comes to finding people attractive.

Well, mine are, but not in the way that most people would think.

It's possible that it's true. I know that a number of gays, lesbians and bisexuals, myself included, try to make more "educated" decisions when it comes to their dating because we are tired of the straights getting the wrong idea about us.

amaidiamond -> RE: Marriage or dream and fantasies (11/27/2006 2:31:58 PM)

I know that my standards are higher, but not sure if that is because of my orientation, they are higher both physically (and by this I mean people I drool over, when it comes to relationships looks are nice but no big wow, however with my crush material my standards are not so much high as floating!) but also very high in terms of honesty, integrity, openess etc etc.

–adjective 1.Biology. a.of both sexes. b.combining male and female organs in one individual; hermaphroditic. 2.sexually responsive to both sexes; ambisexual. –noun 3.Biology. an animal or plant that has the reproductive organs of both sexes. 4.a person sexually responsive to both sexes; ambisexual.
Literal definition.  And no, it's not off of Wikipedia.  (That site tends to piss me off lol)

(And no, I'm not a herm lol....not that there's anything wrong with a hermaphrodite...they were born that way...and hell, so were we *grins and thumbs up*.....actually...I'd love to meet a herm.  I'd love to hear what their take on life is coming from the situation that they do...but again..I digress.)

Bisexual is being attracted to both sexes, sexually aroused by both sexes.

Is there a poll somewhere...or someone doing some sort of research that gives people the fucking idea that all bisexuals are even more coniving, backstabbing, irresponsible than the average straight person?  Because if there is, I'd LOVE to see it.

Yes, despite the attraction and sexual arousal that we have towards BOTH sexes, we -are- able to maintain honest, communicable, and yes, even monogomous relationships.   Some prefer having open relationships, with the consent of their partners, and even the involvement of their partners.  And yes, some of them are bastards and cheaters.  But I assure you, that there are plenty of us that are good, honest, and caring people that believe in trust, truth and monogomy, even love.

*gasp*

Oh, it's true people!  We're finally coming out of the proverbial closet!!!  We're not all cheating, lying pieces of shit!  We don't "have to have" both pieces of pie AND eat them too!

Some of us really are able to have one piece and be satisfied with just sitting back and admiring the other!  We're not so greedy as you think!  And there are our straight lovers that accept our admiration for our female (or male) equals!  Some even encourage it and nurture it!  (Some just in the form of enjoying some girly pron, in my case....perhaps checking out the girls across the mall, pointing out that which makes us go "hmmm")

[sm=hair.gif]

For SHAME that I can really be an honest person!

gooddogbenji -> RE: Marriage or dream and fantasies (11/27/2006 2:38:31 PM)
