I think it's nice. I agree with MzBerlin about putting information about what there is to do in your area and also how far you are from someplace "hip and happening" just in case anyone wanted to know.

Oh maybe you could talk about your house a little bit? I would think that since you lived in a sort of remote area that you might have an interesting house.

laughs at Mercnbeth's "marketing scheme" ha ha... good natured humor is always good stuff, no?

Yeah, I got a kick out of Mercnbeth's joke, too. I like them quite a lot. You're right, I do have an interesting house. It's mostly the location and setting that make it so nice, but the house is pretty cool. Guess I could mention that Mexico is not too far away, and that El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM are fairly close...that's about it for 'hip and happening' places.

I'm afraid bitter experience has gone into this motto of mine:-

Never trust someone who tells you how honest they are.

But that is a personal thing. Apart from that, your profile seems fine to me.

Wow, I didn't think I'd ever see this thread resurface. What a blast from the past. It's a great opportunity for folks to enjoy my Otis and Daisy pics, though.

Thanks, Francine.

A motto I adopted a few years back: Never say "never".

Marketing scheme? How cynical!! I bet you think the documentary about the 50 year-old Bowflex grandmother is a "marketing scheme", too! Some people see conspiracies everywhere.

Good marketing scheme yes (intended or not - aww shucks have I shown u a pic of my cats?).

Conspiracies require at least 2 persons.

a good motto to have. the pictures of daisey and otis are nice, as well as the ones of you outside. you've done well, and you still have an excellent profile. do cat pictures work in a girl's profile, too?

you just don't know when a thread is going to come back to visit!

Thanks, LadyHibiscus,

It's got a mixed reception! It actually comes from a character in a book, 'Titus Groan' by Mervyn Peake. Love the book, and love the character (although he has an annoying laugh). :)

Why wouldn't cat pics work in a girl's profile? I know I'd be a sucker for them!

Titus Groan!! It's been years since I read those books!

Well I am here to tell you that Bob has some darn fine cats.

Should I be posting gpig and parrot pics? :) The former creature has one of him and his birdie, and believe me she is the better half. /snark over/
