Well, let's see... judging from past threads... It should be of more than one line, should not be toned to "obey me now!", should not brag about how many years of experience you have(at least not right up front), and should provide examples that you actually read the sub's profile.

Does that help?

The proper way to send a msg to a sub is:

underline only one of each choice,
Dear {worm, bitch, slut},
I am your new {Master, Mistress} and you will now {drop to the floor and worship me, send me your credit card information, stop picking your nose.} I expect you to start your new duties to me {immediately, online, in two weeks when I show up at your house with all of my possessions and move in.} I am sure you are in awe of the fact that you have been chosen as mine. It is the {highest honor, goal of any right minded sub, reason you were born.} Your new duties will entail {sexual service, supporting me financially, being a doormat.} You will be expected to be dressed in {nothing, leather, lingerie, chains, high heels} at all times. You will be at my beck and call. Welcome to your New Life,

Sincerely,

Why not take the unique approach. Email it and be sincere.

Here's the perfect message:

"Here I funkin' am - What are you going to go about it?"

Details provided in the "First Thing out of your mouth" thread under General BDSM Discussion topic.

You ask a sincere and polite question. The comments people have suggested are good ones.

If you stick around Proud will be by with thread suggestions with even more advice.

Oh yes, I have noticed (from earlier threads) that using pet names like "little one" in an introductory email tends to get a negative reaction.

The gist of other posts on email is to do/dont do the following:

Be respectful and courteous.

Tell what you have to offer without a lot of detail at first.

Show that you have read the profile you are responding to by personalizing your message.

Remember that the sub you are contacting isn't expected to submit to you until that has been negotiated.

Don't use pet names at first.

Do not contact subs who are not looking unless it is just for friendship.

Don't expect very many to reply back to you.

Use good grammar and spelling even if you have to first write it in a word document for spell check, then copy and paste to your email.

Good luck.

There is a free spell checker that can be incorporated with Internet Explorer called IeSpell. It has British and U.S. dictionaries and is available from http://www.iespell.com/
