Well that would be through a person/people then right? Or maybe I answered wrong as I had a lot of experiences before I knew what to call them. Actually, I was kind of surprised when I found out that everyone wasn't doing the same stuff I was. I really thought it was just the norm and that the same stuff was going on in everyone's home.

I got hook on bondage and wised I was the one being bond was thoses detective mag. That had girls in bondage on them and I'm a guy who likes to crosdress............tina

For Myself, it started in 94. I was in a vanilla relationship with a lovely woman who happen to have been bi. So long story short we decided we'd like to find another bi chick to join us and spice up the bedroom, so to speak. We really didnt know where to search so I went to a nearby porn shop, picked up a local swing guide. In it I noticed several ads for 'Masters seeking new slaves', needless to say I became more interested in those ads than I did about finding us another girl! <g> .. Consequently, that porn shop is also where I picked up Wiseman's 'SM101'. And from there it snowballed. Adding also that was 4 years prior to Me finding the net, but when I did it was great seeing I was far from alone in My new found interest. The journey continues..

When I was around 10 or 11, I was nosing around in My father's car and found five or six paperback books. One of them was entitled "The ABC's of Sex" or something along those lines. So I decided to "borrow" the book one afternoon without telling him. It had a pretty detailed explanation of S & M and a lot of other topics. I think the book called it a form of "deviant sex," but I found it pretty intriguing. After I was done, I put it back with the other books. I don't think he noticed it was missing, and if he did, was probably too embarassed to mention it.

i first learned about the existence of the D/s lifestyle from a book... oddly enough, a compendium of advice columns called "Ask Cecil"... this was around 7th grade or so. i didn't actually pick up the term BDSM until my first day at college... as soon as they got my computer access working, i started searching (no WWW access then... i think it was probably Archie) for information on bondage and turned up the ASB FAQ.

I never liked Johnny Depp till the Pirates movies. Captain Sparrow has to be the sexiest pirate ever - lol. I have located a "pirate" fantasy outfit, I love role play

The first time I saw Julie Newmar tie up Adam West & Burt Ward on Batman was when I was exposed to Femdom BDSM, we're talking leather catsuit, heels & cat o nine tails. Ever since then I was talking girls into tying me up, and making me helpless.

As for the actual term BDSM, it wasn't until I was in college, and exposed to the Chicago Reader newspaper, thats where I learned of professional Dominatrixes, and the term BDSM.

Funnily enough i'm the same, thought he was an ok actor, certainly no heartthrob, till i met Captain Sparrow. That has got to be a signature role for him, he just does it so well.

The very first time I heard about BDSM was in high school reading Penthouse Forum. I knew the submissive role was appealing even then, but I did not realize what a Ds relationship was until years later. I was labeled a submissive for the first time when I was 24 by a former lover.

Ditto to doing it for sometime before finding out what it was. I started leaning this way as a young kid after finding some torture mags in my dad's hidden stash. I was fortunate to marry someone who was bent the same direction. I thought everyone did this stuff until I ran across a chat room on aol and discovered people who did this were an unique. LOL.. talk about a shock for me. Until then I thought I was normal!
Of course, then I had to suffer the guilt I had been missing. <g> which, btw.. can be delicious.

Picked up a copy of a BDSM book at a yard sale. Get a box full of books for $5.00 Got a great eye opener and never looked back. Started to practice RL 20 years ago

Well I learned about it technically from a book... but I learned about the real power exchange aspect of it from my best friend. She corrupted me and I will be forever greatful.

I started having ideas about 7 or 8 years old, relativly innocent like getting told off by my neighbour as she saw me and a friend playing naughty schoolgirl and spanking each other in the back garden, as I got older my brain started to form fantasys like most peoples do when they hit puberty and eventually I realised they didnt run along quite the same lines as everyone elses, from there I started reading, researching, talking to people, worrying my parents :D
Then it all went from there.

I think I read about it in a magazine. I couldn't beleive my eyes that there were other people out there that had the same interests as I did. Especially being a male sub.
