Najakcharmer -> RE: bigotry or preference?? (12/2/2006 11:48:58 PM)

It's bigotry or prejudice if you're interviewing candidates for a job and you turn one down because she's a woman or because he's black.  That is unacceptable and I'd have a low opinion of anyone who did that sort of thing.  I'd also have a fairly low opinion of someone who generally excluded people of any particular race or skin color as friends because they thought they were better than people of that race, or that people of that race were not worth getting to know.  Judging a book by its cover isn't too bright, and the attitude of racial superiority is unsupportable.  I can however understand not liking a culture or a type of behavior.  I would never date a devout Muslim who was ingrained with Middle Eastern cultural attitudes, for example, because of his beliefs and attitude about women.   I don't agree with those beliefs, therefore I am not comfortable at all with that culture.

It's entirely up to you who you date or sleep with and who you are attracted to sexually.  That's just personal preference.  You don't have to practice Equal Opportunity in your bedroom.

hell, I get this and I "am" black, if I don't fall all over someone just because we are the same color they get all piss...never mind that they approached me like some caveman....he got rejected and he couldn't think of anything else so he harped on that....geez good thing he is black or he would actually have to take a look at himself huh?  But since he is he can play the race card.    oh no...wait...usually guys, all colors,  that get rejected come up with the classic....she must be a lesbian....LOL

timeoutgurlie -> RE: bigotry or preference?? (12/3/2006 12:13:24 AM)

I abhor racism 100%, with that said, this man literally couldn't even spell prejudice, so take what he says with a grain of salt and nothing more.

I'm not seeking a mate here, but if I were I would have no qualms with saying "physical fitness is a must" or "picture necessary, will ignore all mail without one".  Am I shallow?  To some, maybe, to myself not at all, I'm just honest.

I prefer dark skin actually, am I am black panther hating white people?  Not in the lease.  I just have certain things I'm attracted to.  Most of which are personaly/character traits, but I'm not shy to admit those would all make a great friendship if the physical attraction weren't there and it would never amount to a romantic commitment.

If gentlemen may prefer blondes, then this lady may prefer whatever she likes as well [:)]

Petruchio -> RE: bigotry or preference?? (12/3/2006 12:30:23 AM)

I prefer a delicate green skin that complements my own.

PlayfulOne -> RE: bigotry or preference?? (12/3/2006 7:41:16 AM)

I had a partner where we interacted with others.  More often than not if we were approached by black males once they discovered we were only interested in them because of the person they were and not because they were a black man coming to have a white woman they quickly lost interest.

Dont worry my dear, at 26  he is young and dumb. He has also shown his bigotry. It happens it has happened to me on several occassions.

It is a preference. I tend to be attracted to men of my own ethnic background myself. I have dated men that were of a different ethnicity because I found them attractive, but I tend to prefer white men.  I know my heart condition, and if someone wrote me that I was prejudice against them because I prefer to date men my own ethnicity, well that would be his problem... If you know who you are and how you feel I would not let this bother you.

Petruchio -> RE: bigotry or preference?? (12/3/2006 10:10:47 AM)

I don't recall who first said, "I'm prejudiced against prejudice."

Well that seems silly, after all he was still getting what he wanted, ah well his loss.

~Fast Reply~

I don't date men who are shorter then me. I like a man who is taller then me, someone who can control me physically. That really sucks for a dom who is shorter then me and thinks I'm really hawt but that is the way the shackles clasp.

While I actually get turned on by the skin difference of my pale skin to a darker one, I really don't see the difference between "Eh, I'm just not attracted to shorter men" and "Eh, I'm just not attracted to darker skin tones."

I have recently experienced something that leaves me saying hmmm  is it true??

I have been exchanging a serious of one line type of emails back and forth,  when after 4 or 5 sets of  hope your day is good i go tthe when can we get together...i never once said eqe i will not talk to you becasue you are african american, not did i say  keep your dark brown self to yourself...most of the contact was me trying to be polite and him trying to make conversation....have i been interested?  NO not from anything he wrote...which by the way was nota whole lot he had one of those 2line profiles  the subsequent emails consisted of him trying to agree with anything i said..I digress.  I receieved the following in my inbox today

WOW!!! I DID NOT THINK COLLAR ME HAD BIGGOTS!!!! DONT EVER CONTACT ME AGAIN YOU PREDIJUCE WHORE!

why is it that men can not want a woman becasue she is 350lbs.   or that she has brown hair  or doesnt do the meet me nekkid at the motel for the first time visit?

but a woman cannot say:   I hate to say this but i am ordinaarily not attracted to african american men!  by the way in the second to last email i recieved the message i really love redheads becasue their skin is sooo white?

so lets see if i read this right it is okay for him to havea physical attraction to me becasue i have such white white skin...but i am not allowed to not prefer african american men beasue of his skin color?

when did a simple preference become a reason for being called a biggot.   I actually have recently had an attraction to a man who is of jamaican descent....and there are a few people on here that are aware of it  becasue believeit or not the issue i had on that was his age (26)  not his skin color!

so how is it that i can be nice and have back and forth intereactions with someone based upon not involvement  but as soon as i say i do not want to go further  I becsaome a bigot??

when is a preference not just a preference  but biggotry??

someone help me??

little red

I have my preferences.  I have a preference for blonde and brunette women.

But I can tell you, the woman who most profoundly affected me had jet black hair.  Like night.

Walk me down any street and the 5 foot 10 blonde who walks past me first will truly be the only woman I ever truly loved.

(Except for that black haired chic that pretty much floored me...).

Everyone has their preferences.  Everyone has their hot button...that one that just floors them.

It doesn't mean that we can't...it just means that we have a preponderance.

Yes, but you did allow the black haired chick to floor you, presumably you didnt ignore her because she had black hair?
Besides hair can be dyed [:D]  I do it all the time to suit a Masters preferences.

Tell any race that you are handicapped.. then you will see the true bigots.

Lordandmaster -> RE: bigotry or preference?? (12/3/2006 5:49:17 PM)

Tell any RACE???  People don't talk to races.  People talk to people.

My subbie has cerebal palsy (mild case; he gets around quite well) and likes bondage a lot.  The positions I can tie him in are absolutely priceless for the jaw-dropping effect they have on other people.  His knees actually bend the wrong way, and what is not even a mild, comfy stretch for him looks as if I must surely have broken both his legs with a hammer to get them in that position.  We have SUCH fun at play parties.

One of these days I must get around to taking a picture of him in an "extreme" bondage position with his legs bent backward at a truly unholy looking angle so I can use it to scare the crap out of wannabe subs who are too bothersome in my email.   "THIS is what I do to men who want to sub to ME.  Think you can take it, bitch?"  Watch'em melt away like snow on a campfire.

Laughing wickedly,

Naja

Wow. You could sell those pictures to people wanting to scare others into leaving them alone.

"You are right! Somehow, even though I say I'm a submissive and I kneel at his feet, I'm really a domme! Look what I do to men! PHEAR ME!!!!!1111"

I would pay...

See therein lies the problem...  if you were a "twue wedhead,"  you would've been putty in his hands... just waiting for him to even speak to you...  and you would have dared not rebuffed him like that!

*falls on floor, laughing, avoids lightning bolt coming down from the sky*  [;)]

ah yes that I am only too keenly aware of...I was the assistant to a man that had MD and I never did succeed in helping him even find a date before he died!.. I couldn't even HIRE him one!

NaiveTempest -> RE: bigotry or preference?? (12/7/2006 10:19:47 PM)

I can tell you that unfortunately some people in the black community, and other communities I'm sure, like to blame thinks on race when they can't get thier way. Sad but true. Can you imagine the emails I get because I'm looking for an interracial relationship, lol? They're not always pretty. I'm been accused of bigotry and hating my race and betraying my people, etc.... My advice is to just ignore these people and move on. They're not worth your time and thought, though I understand why is is so bothersome for you. And yes I do believe that his thinking he can say he likes you cause of your white skin, but getting upset because your not attracted to him (and accusing you of denying him because of HIS skin color) is stupid, but I see and hear of it all the time.
