In addition to the fact that they deny the near-success of feminism in abolishing constructions like "lady doctor," gendered endings are linguistically yucky. One of the rare easy things about English is that it (mostly) lacks gendered nouns. Why, oh why do we want to make this language harder than it is? However, while "dominant" is certainly better than "domme", I still don't like "dominant" as a noun. I am a "dominant person," or a "dominant woman," when my gender is important. Monica
