Ron came the closest in finding the answer, but he got it wrong. The answer is "Liquid Oxygen" because it is the only one that cannot be safely added to an internal combustion engine as an oxygenator to increase power. Ether, Nitrous and yes, good old Ethanol have all been used by racers in fuel injection systems to deliver immediate increase in oxygen in order to provide short term increases in engine power. If you try to inject LOX, you blow up the engine. It was a dumb quartet, but seemed less so in the middle of the night. Sorry, gang. E.
