quote:

National Air and Space Museum
National Gallery of Art
National Museum of American History
National Zoological Park

Yes, the Gallery is one possible answer; it's the only one that's not part of the Smithsonian.

Yes, the zoo is another answer, since it's the only one not on the Mall.

American History could be a third answer, since it's the only one that's closed.

Jo or Amy, post away.

Let me try a guess first. Is it "vase"? The only one that isn't a kind of lamp?

I think the Four Seasons were the only white group in this quartet. Probably also the only ones to share their name with a hotel chain.

Calliope, the 'seven' sisters is odd in that the other 'ones' are singletons unless you want Erato because of male.

Calliope
Erato
Urania
Athena

Athena is a Goddess; the others are muses of Greek Mythology.

Bringing back the odd one out thread, 'cause Ms Jo got it right on the button again! Next quartet?

Edited because apparently I lose the use of the "a" key after 2 am.

FLASHBACKS would be the odd one out.

The other three are collections of writings by Aldous Huxley (and "Perennial Philosophy" is spelled like that).

My quartet:

Nitrous oxide
Ether
Ethanol
Liquid Oxygen

E.

Correct Emperor...Your turn for a quartet.

edited to add that I evidently spelled the book title wrong even though I was looking right at it on the shelf. Time for me to go to bed.
