The best low-grade bowl looks like the Holiday: Texas A&M and Cal.

Rutgers is going to clobber K-State.

Ok I live in NC, so all I care about is Duke, UNC and NC State. None of the other schedules matter. LOL.

This is NOT a good thread for Caroliners, none are going to a bowl game.

But when we get into basketball, you should be happy .

I didn't think anything would ever get me to pull for Florida, but the BCS (I still think the "B" stands for bullshit) has done it.

This is true because all our football teams sucked this year. Also 2 coaches were fired. So maybe next year. One can only hope.

I wouldn't bet on it -- K State beat Texas, so I think they're better than Cincinatti.

I'm looking forward to watching LSU beat up on the domers -- keep their streak alive of not winning a bowl game since '93.

Six winner and three losers.

Was this like a real question, or just the usual?  If you want to know the logic of any of my picks, please feel free to ask.

Kansas State has significantly improved since going with Josh Freeman at quarterback. Rutgers might win, but they will have to do it with their offense, because I feel K-State will probably score 30 points. Rutgers pass defense is mostly pass rush, and Freeman is really hard to pressure. He doesn't run, but is lightning quick back there in the pocket, and has a very strong arm.

All right, these are my picks.  Next month we'll see who did better.  An * means a pick that's different from yours.

TCU
Oregon
Rice
New Mexico
South Florida
Utah*
Arizona State*
Central Michigan
UCLA
Oklahoma State
California
Rutgers*
Purdue*
Clemson
Oregon State
Minnesota*
South Carolina
Texas (edited to add: I can't believe Texas got such a crappy bowl)
Miami*
Boston College
Virginia Tech*
West Virginia*
Auburn
Tennessee
Wisconsin
Cincinnati*
Southern Mississippi
USC
Oklahoma
Louisville
LSU
Ohio State*

Some of those choices are pretty hard, but we'll see who wins.

This sounds like fun to me.

I like some of the differences. Lets hope Level and other make picks too.

Utah and Tulsa is a hard game to call. I haven't even seen Utah and only saw Tulsa get demolished.

Arizona State will be a heavy favorite against Hawaii. I'm picking upset.

Rutgers and K-State, I think we covered. This should be a good game.

Purdue and Maryland is a tough one to call. I sort of went slight upset on that one.

Minnesota the Texas Tech ... to be honest, I think this game will be a blowout. Not very many teams beat the Tech'ies the first time they play them. Eight foot line splits, no huddle, 72 passes a game, is just hard to get ready for.

You're probably right on Miami and Nevada, but it's going to be cold and I like the cold weather team against a team that may be there to run drugs.

Virginia Tech and Georgia is an interesting game, because Tech may be the better team, but the game is played in Georgia's home stadium. I'm sort of picking the home team on this one.

West Virginia and GT is another interesting game. I probably would have picked West Virginia against much better teams than GT, but not against GT. GT is very tough to run against, and like everyone else that follows college football, I question Pat White's arm. This is also a game played right down the highway from GT.

Cinci and W. Michigan ... your pick is probably as good as mine.

Ohio State and Florida ... I'm going with Florida, because I think OSU is a bit over-rated. I went to the game with Texas, and honestly think Texas did more to lose that game than OSU did to win it. Turnovers and an  inexperienced quarterback missing wide open recievers was the story of that game, in my view. Florida has a lot of very good receivers. I wonder how good that OSU secondary will be aganst a team like Florida. I also think that Troy Smith lowered HIS head on that helmet to helmet hit called against Michigan, and without that call, we are talking about Michigan and Florida today. I believe in karma, like USC ended up paying for "The Bush Push", last season.

P.S. The big guy here, who played for Texas, says the team got EXACTLY what they deserved.

P.P.S. I'm glad you picked Rice, and yes, I'm going to the game.

Well, yeah, that's one of many reasons why I think Michigan belongs in the championship game over Florida...

I sort of agree with you. Michigan is getting screwed, but don't think Florida should have to pay the price for a game they didn't even play in. Both teams played a tough schedule, both have some big wins. The bottom line for me is that Florida is a conference champion and Michigan isn't.

I believe you will find that a healthy Florida team will be much better than most people believe they are.
