Yup......that one too. A cannon may be a bit much...

I don't know about wanting to shot them, but yes, that's a big one with me as well. "You're not a submissive if you don't do this ....."

If you're going to call yourself a Dom/Domme in text, do me a favor... don't tell me you are a Dominate! Verb, noun, come on, we learned these back in school. You Dominate someone. You are Dominant. You regard yourself as a Dom/Domme. >.< *pulls out her english schoolteacher glasses and her sharp-edged wooden ruler*

A total pet peeve of mine.  This REALLY grates on my nerves.  Yeah, I know, maybe it's a little thing, but at least someone else feels the same way.

And...the only time you use an apostrophe in 'it's' is as a contraction.  You wouldn't believe how many commercial websites come off looking stupid by mixing this up.  Possessive is, just, 'its'.

It's an easy rule...really!  (Yeah, I'm anal about a few grammatical things...)

I am going to give what annoys me about other dominants.

Stupid pigheaded arrogance.By god they know everydamnedthing and no one can possibly teach them anything. Let alone a sub/slave.

Lack of any sense of humour, especially regarding their own holyass self.

Allowing, probably encouraging, their sub/slave to blather on and on defending their own stupidity and/or point of view. Come on, grow some kahonies (questionable spelling) and fight your own BD battles.

Treating all sub/slaves as second class citizens. Expecting deferance simply because they are Dom/Domme-hear-me-roar!

Exhibiting the above traits then whining that those lousy sub/slaves are so disrespectful to them........puuuuullllllleeeeeeeeezzzzzzz.

i would say it really pisses me off when a dominant woman expects me to want to play with Her just because i'm submissive. Sure if i was in a relationship it would be a different story, but if i'm at a BDSM event and a Domme wants to play with me and i deny Her, She claims i'm not a "true submissive" just because i don't want to play with Her. WE JUST MET!!

Also, when a Domme has to fake the dominant persona because it's the persona that She's seen in porn movies. Just be Yourself.

When a lot of submissives get together and gank on doms, comparing notes about shit they don't like.

lol, oops, guess this should go in the "ask a master" forum, if the converse of this thread exists there too...

eeek, erebus.  All this time, I thought possessive its, was it's, since possessive generally is 's.  It is John's hat, or Mary's hat.  But it is its' hat?  Sigh.  I am positively annoyed when rules are not consistent.

Which brings me to my pet peeve.  When my Master is inconsistent.

With a fairly new relationship it has been pretty smooth sailing so far. But there is one thing. i wish He had figured  out earlier that since i am brand new to the scence- i am not like his previous subs and that I needed discipline and training from the ground up. i think He didn't think He would ever need to know how to do this. But i will give Him credit for finding others and learning how.

When they say "I'll call you later" and then they don't

I'd rather they word things as "I'll try to call you later"

I know it is just one little word- but it makes a big difference to me

( actualy this could be anyone not just a Dom)

As are you. But, unlike you, not all that are here are "guys".

If one cared, one might think that some of the items mentioned had hit a nerve.............hmmmmmmmm.....

I love this thread.

What drives me crazy is when other doms come into my home and try to take over.   If you don't like the way I do things then don't come or just leave.

My slave is my slave and not the property of other doms.   Leave them alone or ask my permission first.

When a dom takes everything from their slave and then dumps them with nothing   Not one red cent.  I believe a slave or sub has the right to escape if they want and have the resources available to do it.

In my experience, this is a guy thing (I'm sure there are girls who do it too, but I don't date girls so I wouldn't know LOL).  But yes, if they say they'll call later, I'm in the "waiting" mode, waiting for their call, and when it doesn't come, well....

W/we had another Dom as a roommate, which gave me a great perspective on some differences.

My Dom:
-Would expect me to treat Him as my Dom
-Expected me to keep O/our areas and messes picked up
-Had a set of rules for me to follow
-Wanted me to sit a level below Him

Other Dom:
Expected the same!

Please, do not let any Dom not your own treat you like you owe them something.
He actually would tell me to do things for him (clean up his mess, train his sub) and get miffed when I refused. Luckily, my Dom told him to remember his place every time.

By the way, Master has treated me with more respect from the first time he met me than the other guy ever did. That says more to me than any words could.
